MarineKing –‘Mech is still in development, but it will be strong in the future.’

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I am happy because I was able to win with a score of 2:0 pretty easily.

- In the 1st set, your opponent used a special strategy against you.
It is a strategy that can happen on some 2 player maps, but I never thought even in my dreams that he would use it on a 4 player map. I thought to myself that if I lost, I would be put into an uphill battle for the rest of the games, so I didn’t panic but rather focused hard on my defense. And thankfully, I was able to fend it off.

- In the 2nd set, against your opponent’s heavy aggression, you countered with marines and marauders without rushing to ghosts.
It was a counter to my opponent using sentry-based heavy gateway unit composition. If I had gotten ghosts too fast, I would be a bit poorer in comparison in terms of units, so I decided it would be ok to skip them until later.

- Unlike usual, you showed off some ceremonies.
Usually, my games are a lot closer than that so I am unable to do many ceremonies. Also, Ace is a player who likes to do ceremonies so I thought if he had won he would have done one; therefore, I decided to do one myself. (laugh).

- Recent terran trends show a switch to mech. But you are sticking with your bionic based strategies, and have lost to mech based builds in recent games, what are your thoughts?
I think mech builds are slowly being figured out. But it is a viable strategy even now when it feels relatively incomplete. After some time, I bet it will become standard and will be used more often, especially if this trend catches on and becomes a fad for a few months. As for me, I just like having quicker and more mobile units with the marine/marauder composition.

- You have overcome one challenge, are there any players left in the tournament who you want to face or avoid?
I think if I had to chose one for each race, I would say MMA, Nestea, and Alicia will be hardest to face.

- Do you think you will be in the “kong” line this time?
My mindset is a bit different than before, and I feel like I can play well no matter what. And if I can play well and get to the finals, I will not hand over the championship trophy lightly.

- Your opponent is Revival, are you friendly with him? And if you win, will you show some more ceremonies?
I am about the same age as him, and we were pretty close. But recently we haven’t had much time so we have only talked through online messages. As for the ceremony, since I am his friend, so I will ask him for his permission before the match, and if he approves then I plan to do one.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank Choya from fOu for giving me some good advice before the match. I also want to thank Creator for helping me practice. I hope that Maka who has his match soon after mine, and Polt can both play well and get to the next round.

Leenock – ‘Burrow banelings, 2 at a time.’

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
It has been some time since I had such good results on a broadcasted match, so I am happy.

- Did your previous win have a good effect on this match?
Yes. I was able to relax more for this match.

- Your gameplan was centered around burrowed banelings.
I had planned to use infestors in the 2nd set. But I had to go burrowed banelings to catch up since the early game did not pan out very well.

- Why did you upgrade armor first?
For air, I usually upgrade armor first. Today, I did that for ground because I wanted to switch over to ultralisks. But it didn’t go as I planned.

- Tell us some personal tips on the know-how on using burrowed banelings.
There isn’t much to it. Just remember to burrow two at a time and do that as often as possible in good locations.

- Recently, the fOu team has been doing well, any particular reason?
We have practiced hard for a while, but I think those results are just beginning to show now.

- Your next opponent will be Byun or Alicia. Who do you want to advance?
Personally, since I have faced many terrans, for the sake of practice, I hope the terran can advance.

- Anything special about your own team’s terran players?
I think they are good because their basics are so sound. Even when I was practicing for today, I didn’t even get a single win on Xel’naga caverns.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank Nuclear and kasyu for helping me practice. I also want to thank Choya for coming to cheer me on even though he has his match tomorrow.

Alicia – ‘My chances of winning against Leenock is around 30-40 percent.’

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I am extremely happy.

- Did you have a lot of pressure as the last player on the SlayerS team to play (and advance) in the round of 32?
Everyone else got to play their match before mine, the latter players always have more pressure to perform.

- If you were to judge today’s games?
After I lost the 2nd set, I thought the match would be tougher, but in the 3rd set my forcefields were placed well so I was able to win.

- Byun is known to be a player who likes to play safe macro games, how did you prepare?
I tried to prepare something for each set. In the 1st set, since the entrance is large, I planned up and although there was a bunker, it was easily broken.

- You are the first protoss in the round of 16 of the super tournament.
I read on the XPforums that there is no one (**protoss) else but Alicia (laugh), and every time I read something like that I think to myself that I must be play better. Wouldn’t it be bad if things didn’t go the way the fans want?

- Your teammate MMA took victory in the MLG.
I believe that MMA is a lucky individual. (Laugh) in the in-house league, he isn’t someone who is consistently at the top, but we always say he’s lucky. Too bad there was no code S seed for this MLG. But I am happy for his victory.

- Your next opponent is a zerg player, Leenock. What do you think will happen?
It will be doable if I get some good maps. I think there are too many maps that are good for zergs. For example, Terminus re. I tried to practice with Min on those maps, but I get really frustrated and haven’t done too much practice on them. I think my chances of winning will be around 30 to 40 percent.

- Are you looking forward at all to the championship?
I am focused on my next match, which will be one tough challenge.

- Anything you want to say to the other SlayerS players for their next match?
I hope some of them fall this time. (Laugh). So I won’t be as pressured for my match.

- Any last comments?

- Your thoughts on making the round of 16?
I will express it with my body.. (Hurray~!)

- It seems that you had a lot of time to rest. What have you been doing with all the extra time?
There was some difficult things I had to do, that I can’t reveal here. But I have taken care of myself through exercise and sleep. But rather than that, I was able to win today because I was pretty lucky.

- Your opponent was sC who has been playing very well recently, how did you practice?
My teammate Marineking gave me some builds, and told me about sC’s style so I was able to practice by adjusting to those suggestions.

- Did you find a lot confidence through today’s win?
I don’t know yet. I hope that I found some confidence today.

- You won your round of 64 match via walkover.
When I looked at the brackets, I thought knew it would be a tough match. I bet Noblesse feels like his disqualification was unfair. If that was me, I would feel like that too.

- You will either be facing your teammate Polt or HuK. Who do you want to advance?
I hope that Polt can get some more money (by advancing). Also, I think he is very good against protosses.

- Recently PRIME hasn’t been performing that well, how is the team atmosphere?
I think the atmosphere is ok. We like to be positive.

- Your goal for the super tournament?
To be honest, I haven’t thought about it.
