Hello fellow Zergs,
Since I love ZvZ for its straight logic structure and consistency, I just had an idea that might just work:
A channel only for zvz, open for all skill levels. You can just come in when you want to get better at you zvz, watch customs against each other and discuss.
This Channel will be.. ----------- zvz ----------- (Both on Eu and Na and all the other servers)
Simple to remember and easy to tip for fast joining.
Let´s see how this will work out.
Greets, Panda
Cya there!
Ps: I am on Eu.

nice idea ! i'll join later!
cheers
|
I joined and no one was there... I'm on NA by the way, so I guess that's probably why.
I really like this idea, ZvZ is my worst matchup and I could definitely use some practice in it.
|
Sounds cool. Even though I hate ZvZ, I admit I could use some practice
|
Just stay on the channel even if nobody is there;) just ladder or do funmaps or so, there will be the time somebody comes in
|
"Since I love ZvZ for its straight logic structure and consistency,"
What?
I think we're playing different games lol. I despise ZvZ for its seemingly random non consistent nature.
If other people now think it has logic and consistency, maybe something big has changed in the last few weeks that i haven't learnt about.. deffo gonna turn up to this channel soon
|
Neat idea! I will probably join it. :D Great idea friend!

@ Eleaven: Read this guide: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=217696 it changed my view and my understanding of the matchup greatly. And when you think about it, there are some reasons why this matchup is more easy and understandable than the others:
1. Your opponement has the same units and opportunities you have.
2. Scouting is more easy than in ZvT and ZvP. Scouting against a Wall and good marine positioning is really hard, whereas you can easily scout the opponement Zerg´s techpath in the early game.
This are some of the reasons why i like this matchup and why it seems logic and consistent to me. You may see it the other way around, like I did for a long time. Atm I am Dia rank 3-4 and think this is the Mathup I understand at least. May change in Masters ofc, and i guess there is much cheese in the lower leagues. I won´t comment on this topic anymore, I just shared my opinion
Anyhow, I think it would be a great Idea to enlarge this concept of the channel: zvp for both Protoss and Zerg, PvT for both Terran and Protoss and so on... you got the idea;)
A mixed channel with conversations between both races would be a great thing, as it widens the mind for the matchup and shows, which difficulties the other side has.
Pls stay in the channel(s), the idea is so simple that it will spread;)
Cya there, Panda

Let me show you some consistency. 1 mom.

Server: EU Server TL ID: ehti B.Net ID.IDENTIFIER: ehti ProfileURL: http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/1652967/1/ehti/ Other: Zerg player looking for friends to play with & practice 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3, 4vs4, custom etc Character Code: 625 CET timings after 4:30 pm onwards.

a good idea is, to enable the 'auto join private channels' function in the options menu
|
Makes me wish I played zerg. Think I'd love that matchup while I hate my own mirror matchup - TvT.
Great initative though, maybe we could create channels for every matchup? Or maybe all the mirrors since people seem to hate their own mirrors so much - having a fun and relaxed practice environment would maybe help out?
|
@ enykie: Great finding!:D I will so use this;)
@ zende: Yep, same for all the other matchups would be great too:D
Since you can writte zvp or pvz, i would suggest the following channels to use:
zvz zvt zvp pvt
It would be great if both races share one channel, so that there is more and better discussion and training games;)
|
That's a great idea. I'll definitely join the channel!
|
Having channels for all matchups would be awesome! You can lose a game on ladder, pop into the channel and ask for some advice (or rage).
|
I like this idea a lot. I have almost no trouble zvp and zvt but zvz is horrendous! I'll be in later for sure.
