Holy cow, hope nothing has happened to the kid.
Officials are trying to rescue a 6-year-old boy who climbed into a balloon-like experimental aircraft built by his parents and floated into the sky over eastern Colorado.
It's all over the news channels apparently the Balloon can go as high as 10,000ft and officials have no idea how to get it down.

Wasn't there a thread earlier that said you need like 100,000 balloons to lift a person into the sky?

Me as well. Now I won't be able to keep the comments straight.

Ok, so somehow he got in the balloon and it just floated away? I bet the 'sibling' had something to do with it.

great newz..for the networks. im mean.. this will keep them glued to the tv for at least two days. if you really gave a damn you would go to colorado and help find the lad.

Apparently the national guard is getting a chopper to see what they could do. Also when/if the thing deflates it will still crash, and apparently the plywood that child may be on is not strong enough to survive such an impact.
It is at 8,000ft right now.

i was just going to make a thread about this. I'm sure the kid is terrified as hell, i'm watching to see if he falls.-

The boy undid the ropes himself after he got in. No sibling involved.
I sound cruel but he sure learned his lesson

Well the reports say there was a sibling who witnessed it. This kid just made the mistake that will likely cause him his life. Sorry for speculating, I just heard that there was a sibling present.
edit: Watching the thing spin and tilt like that makes me sad.
