XBLGaming's $500 Prize Singles Tournament

Welcome to the signup thread for the second XBL Starcraft 2 Tournament!

If you are interested, please post here http://xblgaming.com/forum/showthread.php?3771 with your character name and ID in-game, as well as your region. As Battle.Net doesn't support cross-region play, we won't be able to put everyone into one big pool.

As people post, I will update the page with the pool of players. Please double-check the page and be sure the information is correct.

Please do not post in this thread except to indicate that you are signing up (or to take back a signup, if need be). Discussion of this tournament, its rules, and other pre-event planning should go in the discussion thread.

Please sign up by midnight, November 20th if interested. First round brackets will be seeded a little after that.

These rules may change and be updated as we discuss the tournament, so please check them regularly.

[SIZE="3"]Rules and Match Settings[/SIZE]

Requirements

You must be mature
You are invited at the sole discretion of a tournament host. It is recommended that you are at least [Platnium] rating

Rules Italicized Rules are new or modified

1) Disconnects are not counted unless disconnecter is at a sizable disadvantage.
1a) If disputes occur, submit replay to a tournament host who will make the final decision

2) Only Blizzard rated 1v1 maps are available in the pool
2a) These are: Blistering Sands, Delta Quadrant, Jungle Basin, Lost Temple, Metalopolis, Scrap Station, Shakuras Plateau, Steppes of War, Xel'Naga Caverns
2b) Each contestant may eliminate one map from the pool for each series

Round of 64 - Metalopolis
Round of 32 - Shakuras Plateau
Round of 16 - Xel'Naga Caverns
Round of 8 - Lost Temple
Semi Final Round - Blistering Sands
Finals - Delta Quadrant[/SIZE]

2d) Loser chooses each subsequent map
2e) Maps may not be played more than once in a single series

3) Winner is the best of 3 format.
3a) Calling gg at any time is considered an immediate loss.
3b) All games must be conceded with a in game written gg or contestant may be DQed from entire tournament, actionable by either the opponent or any tournament host.
3c) Staying in the game more than 15 game seconds (11 real seconds) past gg is considered a DQ from tournament, actionable at any time by contestant's opponent. Time is measured by replay.
3d) If your opponent is waiting for a contestant for more than 10 minutes for a series to start, contestant is DQed from tournament actionable by the opponent. Opponent receives a bye for that series.
3e) Contestants are allowed a maximum cumulative total of 5 minutes pause in a series, whether this is over one pause or nine. Any longer and contestant is DQed from tournament, and opponent receives a bye.
3f) Series winners are to be reported immediately to the main tournament host via Battle.net message or Email @ [email]DJFireFlash@gmail.com[/email]
3g) Contestants are only allowed one race or random to play throughout the whole tournament. Deviations will be grounds for DQ actionable by either opponent or tournament hosts.
3h) Random race is allowed

4) Cheating will not be tolerated and is grounds for a DQ from all present and future tournaments.
4a) What is defined as cheating is the sole discretion of any tournament host.
4b) Perusing other contestant's match history for build orders is not considered to be cheating.
4c) Abusing game bugs is not considered cheating.

5) Ignorance of rules is not an invitation to not abide by them.
5a) Citing ignorance of rules is grounds for DQ from tournament actionable by any tournament host.

6) Repeated rule infractions will result in DQ from all present and future tournaments.
6a) Repeated failure to show up for any series can be considered grounds for DQ from all present and future tournaments.

7) All replays must be saved to be submitted later
7a| After you are eliminated from the tournament, replays must be zipped and submitted .

8] All rules may be overruled at any time at the sole discretion of any tournament host. Arguments with any decisions or rules may be considered immediated DQ from all present and future tournaments.


Spectators are only to be Official XBLGaming Staff and GameCasters


Reporting

Following completion of games, players should do two things: Report the results to the matchup/results thread for the tournament, and e-mail replays of the games to the tournament organizer [email]DJFireFlash@gmail.com[/email]. Please try to contact me on Battle.net as well. Games will be hosted and available for anyone to download. Please determine who will e-mail the replays of the match prior to beginning to play.
