You guys are not welcome at her fanclub =P What's the point of a poll if there is only one acceptable answer? PS: do NOT sign me up

I will add the missing fan art, the missing interview (by Lani... she rocks by the way) and the most recent VOD's. I've got them all down, don't worry. I'm just a little busy at the moment. Oh and I will update the members list of course I promised TT1 to add him and he's not on the list yet. Shame on me. : )

Edit: Sign me up The 1000th post award was given to post 1001 as well. The OP is not counted in any of the posting awards. The reasoning: You can't post in a thread without the thread. The OP is the frame for all the posts and is therefore not counted as a post. Lawyered!

There has been movement to change this, and in the text revision (to prepare for DSM5) they changed Gender Identity Disorder (GID) to Gender Incongruence (GI). The main difference being that someone is suffering from GI (and is diagnosed with it) before/during transition. Once they have established themselves in their desired sex, they are no longer Gender Incongruent. It's not guaranteed to make DSM5 though, and there is a bit of pushback and debate surrounding it. I don't want to hijack scarlett's fan page for trans education, so I'll just post this video for people interested in some of the science behind it, and congratulate Scarlett on her awesome performance. oh i remember watching his course of lectures on youtube some time ago, such an amazing proffessor and it seems a general trend among everyone but the most conservative academics in the field that DSM is almost nothing but a neccesary evil in psychiatry :/ sorry this was even more offtopic i was just so happy you linked to prof. sapolsky!

I later told her she was a transgender, and my gf said "oh thats why she is good" She doesn't believe woman can be good at starcraft or gameing in general. She's lived in the U.S. for about 7 years and I've brodened her perspective on numerous things, and I would like to do the same with this. She is actually pretty good at games herself, not the best but better than my average American friend. So I was wondering if someone could elaborate on what sort of transgender she is. I'm not really familiar with the term, and not sure what exactly it means. Also keep up the great play scarlett, I thought you were going to beat OZ. It was nailbiting, and I had to leave before the last game to go to work. tt. Hwaiting!!! She was born biologically male, but identifies and lives her life as a female; that sounds like a simple answer, but that's really it. It's not known whether she's undergone hormone treatment or gender reassignment surgery, and it's not really any of our business anyway.
