You need to realize that he said "I abused a 14 yo", not "I had sex with an underage girl". Aside from that he just SAID it, he didn't necessarily do it. I think it's unreasonable to punish someone for saying something that is not hateful or abusive to anyone else, and is unsubstantiated, especially when said under the expectation of privacy.
Plenty of cases in real life where comments such this has led to at least an formal investigation by the police; A few years ago in Sweden a local politician was investigated, charged and found guilty after he had confessed privately to a friend via SMS; "I've just had a 'fun time' with a 15 year old".
Now, granted they only used the SMS as reason for starting the investigation and that they only actually continued with a formal prosecution once they got more evidence, its still pretty dumb to make comments like this, in any form or context. If nothing else you avoid the risk of being investigated by the police, and even if your innocent and didn't do anything I still believe you rather not be under investigation at all.

So whats the cut off point? If rape and racism are ok whats off the table? I am not saying we police everything but hey what if we policed our own mind and mouth O.o wait that would be maturity and people just want to be able to "be themselves" and always make excuses instead of actually taking responsibility for their actions.
