Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

Ugh why have I seen this posted like 20 times... how do so few people know how Code S works now?

I thought of responding once upon a time, but then I saw it explained about 50 times whilst people have incorrectly mentioned it 50+ times...sooooo I'm just ignoring until people's brains catch up =P

can someone explain?

What is there to explain? DRG is not Code S so this Bo3 decides the winner of the Code S spot most likely.

Doesn't DRG still have a good shot at making code S though. So if he beats Naniwa gets code S from MLG BUT goes on to get code S the conventional way (thru the up/down or the ro24) does Naniwa get the code S then for coming in 2nd?

DRG said something like "Naniwa has been practicing and he has improved but he is still no match for me", then they both did a fake handshake deny and Naniwa did this hilarious awkward strut off to the booth

Time to change your system MLG.

You don't watch MLG very often do you? This is the finals. Naniwa was seeded there for is performance throughout the year. People who play MLG often are rewarded for that.

Rewarded too well, imo.

And yet most European pros still do not attend on a regular basis.

It's because MLG has a ridiculously low prize pool in their regular season. Please not that there is a difference between being rewarded to well economically, and getting a way to good seed from just going to previous MLG. Really shitty system imo, which "forces" the players to go all the events, even though the prize pool is less than totalbiscuits monthly tournament.

Money doesn't grow on trees, you know.

If totalbiscuit can raise 5000$ by streaming for a month, please don't try telling me MLG can't do be better than that. They would not host these events if they we're not profitable, so please don't give my the 'blablabla revenue is expensive' bullshit. Dreamhack has a much higher prize pool, and they don't even charge for premium and stream in much higher quality with better production all around (my opinion i guess but other points still valid).

Dreamhack doesn't have events every month, either.

Yeah, I was wondering this too. But then, DRG may not play as hard to his other games if he knows he is guaranteed a spot anyhow, and it isn't good to have players with no motivation to succeed in the tournament.

Doe Naniwa even deserve the code S spot after beating MVP and Nestea twice?

i didn't know mvp and nestea were known for their vP

MVP's weakest matchup has traditionally been TvP, with his strength lying heavily in TvZ and TvT.

Nestea's ZvP is usually quite good. Not as good as his ZvZ, but still very good. His ZvT is where he's said to suffer, but I'm not so sure about that. If you look at his actual play in ZvT it's remarkably solid. Again, not as good as his vZ or vP, but very solid. If you're just looking at results, a big part of the reason why he "only" has a 56% ZvT winrate is largely because MVP is his demon, and they happen to meet up frequently.

It's not as dominant as you'd think if you remove DRG's stats from it. I'm pretty sure realistically he's like 14-2 on the map.
