I made a sound mod for SC2 that replaced almost (there are a very few instances where this is incomplete - I am, after all only one man) all the sounds for the Terran race with voice quotes from My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic! It works on Custom maps, Ladder maps, AND Single Player maps, although note that any units not found in the Multi-Player Ladder maps will not be customized. To give you an idea of what you're getting into - clicking on the SCV will yield Applejack's voice now! This is still a WIP, but I really wanted to share this and get some feedback on it. I wish I had a tech demo to share, or the file to give out, but this is where I need help, my friends. I am NOT tech savvy in that regard, and I need some help: I either need a way to distribute this file for you all to check out (It's 380mb), OR, I need help finding a way to record footage from it to show off that won't end up being a 4gb file, as my modest computer barely tolerates SC2 some days. Thank you for your time! I've already done this myself with Twilight Sparkle's voice (and 2D portrait) over the Ghost and Spectre. If you make a .zip or .rar with all the .ogg and .wav files used sorted into their respective unit folders, plus any other necessary changes (such as if you figured out how to change the number of each quote type the game looks for), I can just use MPQEditor to test it out. Everything goes in the same TerranUnitVO folder, after all. Otherwise, you'll have to upload your entire mods/Liberty.SC2mod/enUS.SC2Assets file. See if you can get MPQEditor to recompress it first under Operations > Compact Archive (it may not be able to.) Then upload it as a .rar or .zip, with multiple parts if you need to. Edit: I am working under the assumption that Canada also uses enUS for its localization setting... if not, obviously I mean whichever one you changed. | ||

 The pinkie pie thing creeped me out to no end. I really don't even know if I want to read fanfics anymore -_- some of them are changing the ways I view some of the characters in ways I don't like D:Either way can someone explain where the hell this entire thing about pinkiepie's... wierd fan made content came from? | ||

Not all fanfic is bad. Past Sins is actually a very good read. Yeah, it has its flaws, but it's definitely worth your time, especially if you're a Twilight fan. Additionally, other stories such as The Circle of Friends and My Little Dashie are great shorter stories. Just use word-of-mouth of people that you trust when it comes to this stuff as well as being careful when you read its post on EQD. As for the whole Cupcakes thing, I'm not sure where it came from, since I think that particular fic was released before Party of One aired. I could be wrong, though. Either way, just avoid stuff like that in the future, since you should easily be able to know if what you're getting into is something like a gorefic before you actually read it. | ||

There is something about shipping art I just find really heartwarming and enjoyable to look at these days, making sure it is nothing too distasteful of course. I don't mind a fair amount of saucy but nothing explicit.  I tend to avoid shipfics since fanfiction in general is something I don't have alot of patience with unless it has been recommended to me by various opinions I can trust, plus some shipfics are just clopfics in disguise but I think if you can pull it off there is certainly a place for romance and shipping among the characters in the realm of enjoyable fanfiction (tastes allowing of course). Though perhaps it is alot easier with background characters such as the Taviscratch pairing since you don't really have to force anything as you can really mold the characters completely as you wish hehe. I will say though one thing that makes me nerd rage is shipping OC's with Mane6 or side characters...that drives me nuts! | ||
