More than the last two, but still worse than every prior MLG containing Koreans. If I wanted to seriously figure out this pattern, I'd have to look at other day data though. Especially as I get the sense that foreigners have been having a decreasingly large impact on the final day compared to other days, and foreigners often drive post count. If Flash made the finals, probably hits 12k+ posts. After Flash beat Life in game 1, there were 200+ posts in a minute. SC2 is dying. Everyone is watching or playing LoL, to simply put it. I think if we had a LoL thread and forum, there would be more LoL posts. Out of all my friends and I that were watching MLG, only I was watching SC2. The rest was either bouncing back and forth between SC2 and LoL, or watching just LoL. you mean like this? http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=379086
less pages for all 3 days than any of the days of sc2.

Don't think post count matters, viewer numbers have steadily increased.
We would have never ever ever seen or even realisticly dreamed of seeing 80k people watching a live stream like we did this MLG, or 100k this earlier WCS EU.
And with the current explosion of multidinous tournaments, the actual number of people who watched MLG is probably higher.
It's that back in those days, MLG's were THE SHIT. I mean seriously, it was so fricking pumped every time, and we had new storylines like BOXER, foreignors vs. Koreans, etc....
Furthormore, with r/starcraft being a big part of the starcraft scene now, we don't have to post on TL. Now we feel part of reddit and can comment there.

bad assumptions are bad, the firsts 2011 mlg thread were flooded with the eagle stream and the cat crossing the river.
and look:
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/majorleaguegaming.com
there were less traffic with full foreigner than mlg containing koreans.
look other proof refuting your theory

this poll isn't the greatest for TL honestly. TL is full of more hardcore fans. Casuals are the ones more likely to tune out.

The only assumptions being made are by you.
What on earth do you think you are arguing against in this post? All I did in my post was give data on post numbers and a possible suggestion for what results in that data. You respond with three claims, one of which I've already discussed in this thread and two of which concern viewership, not postcount, which I never made any claims about.
You need to step back from your argumentative attitude and memes and actually read the posts you comment on.

i was really disappointed with twitch throughout the weekend, extra disappointed because i paid 15 dollars for 1080p+
had the own3d stream running as a backup because of twitch lag issues, and most of the time i had to watch the own3d stream
but aside from that, id say the games were quite good. and of course the flash effect made things extra niicceeee

Nooo........I had to sleep....is there a vod of this? Only one is enough...that is, Flash vs Life!!!! Flash even beat him 2- 0!!!! Then lost 4-0...
So, do they have vods?
|
It's so inspiring to see a player that can come back from a deficit - down 0-2 to Flash, and the 1-3 to Leenock. I feel like so many players would just resign at that point, and against such big names.
edit: also being tied 3-3 with Mvp after going 3-0, it must have been the stressor of a lifetime.
|
are the vods playing on the stream yet?
