To all the people defending Husky I never said he hasn't done anything for the community, in fact I actually think Husky is probably the most hard working out of all the casters. However I dislike the fact that the community for the most part cares more about casters and personalities over actual raw talent, this might be attributed to the fact that most spectators don't even play the game but I myself being an avid player gets frustrated to see this happen. (This conversation doesn't belong in this thread ill end it here)

Yeah idk, it's just really upsetting to see the actual people that put in the effort to make this scene what it is get robbed by some guys who know how to be entertaining.

Husky has done more for this community than almost everyone else. He might not appeal to the hardcore fan base but considering the amount of people he has introduced to Starcraft 2, I'd say he deserves much more respect than what you are giving him.

Husky is what I consider a gateway drug. I watched his videos before learning about teamliquid. Only the more hardcore fans filter through.

I got into sc2 because of HDstarcraft, and then found out about husky because of HDH. 2 years later i've watched every MLG, IPL and GSL/GSTL there was :p

Is Tear's build (basically http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=273465) still viable?? I thought that at higher level's this was less and less effective when your opponent scouts and knows its coming. Did Squirtle just get greedy?

It gets hard countered by the Naniwa/Sase 2 gate opening with the quick 3 Stalkers and zealot.

P1 Squirtle <Cloud Kingdom> P7 Tear

neither proxying, but 10 gate for tear

3:00 squirtle adds a second gas, but tear's warpgate is very much ahead. lots of chrono saved up. the probe is able to scout it though, and tear's scouting probe was faking a pylon.

4:00 tear's stalker kills a scouting probe, squirtle chronos out stalkers, and 3 extra gates are made for tear. a poke up squirtle's natural ramp happens real quick, but theres already a proxy pylon at the 4th base.

5:00 warpgate is done, tear warps in, makes a pylon, and attacks. FF goes off, but tear has high ground vision and is forced to pull probes. Tear wraps into the high ground, kills the stalkers and squirlte has to pull probes.

6:00 probes force the units down the ramp, bute tehre's still 2 pylons and a zealot/stalker are warped in to take care of the units.

7:00 FFs are still alive, so squirtle has a small unit advantage but less workers. Tear is forced away, squirlte holds the push, but he's down 6 probes, with 13 having died during the attack.

8:00 Tear adds a robotics, and stays defensive atop his ramp. Squirtle brings his small army to attack and immediately expands, Tear, who has less of an army, sits up his ramp. Squirtle adds a twilight council, a warp prism for Tear first.

9:00 Tear has 2 sentries, 4 stalkers, while Squirtle has 5 stalkers, 1 sentry on top of the ramp. The warp prism loads stalkers and flanks squirtle's units! FFs go off to trap the stalkers but a sentry goes down, all of squirtle's units are dead!

11:00 Squirtle sees the warp prism confirming that there's no blink. His blink is almost done, while the TC for Tear finishes up. Tear moves up the third of Squirtle, puts a pylon under the main, and sacrifices his nexus

12:00 Squirtle has blink and goes down the ramp quickly to delay his nexus dying, but ultimately lets it die. Tear's blink and an immortal are coming out, warp prism is idle

13:00 Tear finds a pylon blocking his natural and kills it. The WP is still on the top part of Squirtle's main, and some zeaelots warp in to harass the mineral line

OKAY FROM THAT PERSPECTIVE I SEE WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT

Personalities are always going to pull in more viewers then raw skill. It's never gonna change, and its not exclusive to the sc2 community. Also, holy shit Tear is so sick

14:00 Tear adds on stalkers and immortals, loses his warp prism. Squirtle reexpands, catches some stalkers out of position with blink, and moves across the ramp to attack. Nexus finishes, Tear on 1 base.

15:00 Tear attacking from the third base area, and adds dark shrin. Good FFs zone stalkers, and givesr Squirtle a favorable concave! Tear expands

16:00 4 stalkers have blinked into the main to do damage, while Tear attacks the natural! Immortals kill stalkers extremely well, and Squirtle's army is all but gone

17:00 Immortal that just popped is sniped instantly. Squirtle GGs.
