I feel like, more than any balance changes, (Winfestors, amirite? Sorry, I just wanted to fit in.) what the game needs is a more diverse set of maps. It's why I'm excited about the new KeSPA maps. They look horribly imba by current map standards, but when all the maps are the same, all the games are going to be the same. "Oh, look, another 3 base vs 3 base max out, 1 big engagement that either finishes or gives someone an insurmountable lead game."

More variance in games should reward more skilled players over time, or even if it doesn't, it should make for a more entertaining viewing experience. As bad as the older maps were in a lot of ways, I feel like the games were more exciting to watch. Eco-cheese is killing esports.
