There's a lot of varience in accents within the States, seems curious that so many of the casters I'm seeing lately sound the same These current casters are fill-in's and are virtually unknown. Don't think they'll be returning after NASL takes full control. Then again, I have no clue why the NASL casters aren't casting all the WCS AM games at the moment. Probably another "great idea" from the Blizzard Mothership I don't know, AxelToss were the same for me. I like Axslav especially, but together their intonation was a bit much, breaking them up and sticking them with other voices would have fixed it for me.
It's hard to articulate, but you know the way there's a kind of archetypal 'American News Anchor' or 'TV Host', and you see so many of them kind of blend into one? That's kinda what I mean
Very nitpicky I know

I went a nudie bar at noon today to power up for my WCS games, and I went 4/0! %) Is that what British people call a strip club? I think "nudie bar" is also American. Originally here they were called "Gentlemen's Clubs" but everyone I know calls them strip clubs. By the way, "British people" is a bit stupid. People from different parts of Britain have very, very different idioms and phrasing. Not to mention the accents, of course. Makes it a bit foolish to say things like "British people" or "British accent". I apologize for my ignorance. What should I call people from the UK then? Just wondering, do you think Americans have an "American" accent then? I'm curious. Also, they're strip/gentlemen's club in the US too. Well I'd call English people English, Welsh people Welsh, Scottish people Scottish and Irish people Irish. If you really got into the accents you'd be able to figure out Scousers, Brummies, Geordies, Cornish, Cockney and so on. But that's not really necessary. Of course not. There's huge differences between, say, a Boston accent and an Arkansas one. Okay, so you would go by country of origin? That makes sense. I know almost nothing about the geography of England/UK (I would be interested to learn about it one day). It seems you're a more worldly person than I am :D Yeah, we tend to be more geographically aware. That's not slight against you personally, rather the US education system. Seems so many Americans struggle at putting things on a map. Most people I know have a pretty good understanding of world geography. It's unfortunately true in a college level government course we were asked by our professor to label 45 countries on a map. Many were glaringly obvious and I thought frankly elementary. The class average was 16 correct countries... It's not like everyone in our country is dumb but we seem to have such a self-centered overall feeling amongst students that they find knowledge about other countries trivial and uninteresting. It's sad. I think I wouldn't do too well in that, I'm pretty bad with maps actually. I'd beast a countries/capitals or trivia test, but I am woeful about maintaining map knowledge :p There are certain excusable mistakes of course. I didn't get all of them correct. However, when someone could not correctly label the location of the USA or Mexico, I got worried.

I think the casters migrated to World of Tanks and probably this seasons schedule overlapped. These were old casters at the end of IPL. After the golden age of Doa + Kevin.

I don't think it's the American accent (some of the best casters, like Artosis, are American). While a British accent may sound exotic, classy, and remind people of football commentators, just having a British accent won't make one a good caster.
I think the problem with these casters is that they don't really add value to the caster. During the game, they'll say things like "thermal lance starting up", and that would be it. Now if I was blind or couldn't watch the stream, that would help. But I can see those things happening, so pointing it out in the cast and not going further and giving analysis doesn't add "value". The use of cliches doesn't help either ("it was the critical mistakes that lost him that game").
So neither of these guys are really good at analysis. But what about play by play, or just building excitement? Unfortunately, they haven't quite gotten that either. Some casters like Nathanias may not be the best at analysis, but they can generate excitement. But unfortunately, these casters have not yet mastered the art of generating excitement without sounding fake.

Yeah, but Huk only had like 26-28 probes and TheStc probably had around that number of SCV, I saw it as hard not impossible.
