I don't think it would be too terrible if korea was ip banned since they have a lot of private servers like brain and fish anyway.

But this really is pretty ridiculous. Banning everyone in an area is a bit of an overreach. but then again, like people have been saying, they are offering a free service and really don't have to listen to your complaint. Of course, that makes them assholes, but that's just how it is.

ICCUP owners really sucks. I know some admins dont agree to the ip-area-ban, and i think Cheloman made a strong point. He dont change it because its a decision from someone superior to him. I think, in truth, he not agreed to the idea too much.

Who really sucks is this unk and yellow ant. They are acting like "we do whatever we want, we are the best, try other services". Its true, ICCUP is a property of them, but i really hopes ICCUP ends pretty hard and disappear after SC2, or a better service comes.
Its the most arrogant attitude i can ever wait from them. I must say im very sad with it.
For this they deserve a rough response from the community, but i dont think it will happen.

I also found hilarious the guy defending the right to insult the admins.
Lol, try to insult the staff here on TL and have a nice time trying. Its amazing how some ppl think they have the right to insult others. If Idra really BM him, he is right to ban.

Well, according to Idra, the admin was repeatedly posting a message to Koreans in English with his caps lock on. That's just as stupid as yelling at a person in English when you are in a foreign country, in the hopes that volume = understanding.

Is running a server like ICCup expensive? I have no idea how it's done, but wouldn't it take a lot of bandwidth and stuff?

rofl at not being able to find a better solution. how about not caring so much about your retarded ladder rankings and realizing that its more important for people to enjoy starcraft and continue playing each other than running a 100% hack free abuse free ladder because that results in too much collateral damage. id much rather a hacker go free than one innocent be fried, and the banning of such a wide range of IP addresses probably fucks a lot more people than just one.

obviously no matter how bad people badmouth iccup they are going to continue to play on it because its the most competitive medium and easiest to find tougher competition. if you think banning a ton of innocent people for one guy is the best solution then admins do not have their priorities straight.
