OK. This one time I went on a plane to Finland and from there I'd hop to Russia. Except, you know how you can't carry liquids on a plane except if they're in a plastic bag and everything? Well that's because in London they caught some guys trying to smuggle a bomb inside a 2 liter Coke bottle. My trip to Finland was on the EXACT day they caught them and London shit its pants. So no planes could fly over England that day. Including mine. The problem is I have to shit and the genius architects of the airport terminal put the bathroom OUTSIDE the security checkpoint. Which means there is nowhere to shit since security is tight because of the whole London scare. I decide to wait until the plane finally comes. Also there's a thunderstorm in the area so the plane is delayed some more. I think it was supposed to start boarding at 5:00 PM and it finally showed up at like 1:30 in the morning and my asshole is begging me to unclench. So after this eight hour plus delay, I get on the plane and keep telling myself once the plane is in the air I can go shit in peace. But fate is not done with my rectum. The seatbelt off sign isn't turning off because of the huge ass thunderstorm, and it is moving east. Note that the plane is going from New York to Helsinki and thus is also going east. So basically we spend 75% of the ride strapped to our seats in this turbulence. Finally the light comes off and everyone and their dog bumrushes the single working economy class bathroom. Did I mention two of the three bathrooms were apparently broken? Then the plane lands in Helsinki, I've spent sixteen hours holding in a demon shit, and were doing the penguin shuffle to get out of the plane and I'm trying my hardest not to poop my pants. Finally I find what looks like the only bathroom in the terminal and I break into a sprint that could make Usain Bolt proud. I look around but all I see are sinks on the left and urinals on the right. THERE ARE NO STALLS. I don't know if this is some crazy Finnish custom or there's a separate room for shitting, but THERE WERE NO STALLS IN THAT PARTICULAR BATHROOM. Alas 16 going on 17 hours has left me desperate and I drop all of my cargo onto one of the urinals and inconspicuously leave before someone notices what I did. Otherwise it wasn't so bad. They even gave us like 20 euros to buy food while waiting on connecting flights on account of the whole plane-terrorism delay thing. I'd probably give half of that to whoever managed to clean up my urinal shit. | ||
