But most curious of all is the sudden bandwagon on me. RoL and Coag I can explain off to jokes, but then Mr. Wiggles and treehugger voting me is quite curious. May both of you explain your votes? Summary 1.Mr. Wiggles had not contributed well, which is why I voted him.

Also, much as I love polarized votes, and I figure we should force one as frequently as possible, it's a mistake to read too much into them. Often, especially on the first day, the accused are just a batch of greens. Mafia are pretty good about not being the inactive the town decides to target. Which is why we should pick people like Pandain, put them on the spot, see if they sweat, and move on if they don't. Eventually, we'll have two good candidates, force votes on either/or, and then work from there. But by no means is one list all mafia, and the other not. Early information is good, but it needs to be given the respect (or lack of respect) that it deserves.

Clearly at the time Mr. Wiggles did not contribute anything, and Pandain just voted to accent his point. Indeed, as Ver put in his town guide, spamming can be detrimental to the town. Now, I don't belive we should lynch Mr. Wiggles. It is far to early to tell anything about him, and also I'd rather lynch a lurker/inactive than a spammer.

It looks like there is a little time lag between what you post and what shows up in the search function. Maybe this is normal... Haven't actually tried searching for posts this recent before.

![]() TL Mafia XXXV: Day 1 Start Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the house Every creature was stirring, except for the mouse. It hid in its hole and trembled and stared As shadows crept by that were not supposed to be there. That night, Incognito slept, all snug in his bed, While nightmares of darkness crept through his head. And Ver with the bat, and I with the gun, Patrolled the rooms--the night had begun. When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I ran to the door to see what was the matter. Away from the window I flew like a flash, As a hooded figure leapt in with a crash. Suddenly the moon appeared from behind a cloud, Illuminating the face that hid beneath the shroud. I turned, lined up my gun with Ace's head, And like that, the walls were painted blood red. I looked at the body, turned around to shout: "Mafia are in. Everybody, get out!" As I ran through the rooms, more shadows appeared Some short, some tall, and one with a beard. Running into the kitchen, I stopped in my stead, For I saw that Ver was already dead. His elvish killer, drinking coffee, looked up and grinned And I shot him, oh did that smile rescind. Gun ablaze, I sprang up the stairs I had to get up to see how top fared. However, it seemed I was already too late-- Incognito had already succumbed to his fate. However, of two more did I know Holed up in another room, ready to go. I ran for that room, but what did I find-- We had a traitor in our midst, and of that I was blind. BloodyC0bbler laughed, and tossed aside The body of Qatol, and then he tried To come at me, but I shot him down. As he lay dying, he said with a frown: "Just you wait, hold onto your life. He is coming, with gun and with knife. You've been way too naughty, and oh-so-not-nice. You will be hacked and mangled, sliced and diced." As he died, I heard the floor creak So outside of the room I hazarded a peak. And the man outside made me very much dread, White-haired, white-bearded, in a suit of red. He chuckled loudly, and I prepared to fire. Alas, gun was empty--the situation was dire. I backed into the room, trying to reload And into the room Santa Claus strode. He cackled, and pulled out a large blade And he slashed me once, the world began to fade. As I lay dying, he said with delight: "A late Christmas to all, and to you... a good night." Ver the Vigilante is now dead. Incognito the Cute is now dead. Qatol the Lawyer is now dead. flamewheel the Vigilante is now dead. Ace the Mafia Elf is now dead. BloodyC0bber the Traitor is now dead. The game is afoot. This first post has been delayed, but from this point forward you have until 03:00 GMT (+00:00) on the 28th of December to vote. The voting thread is located here, and remember that if you do not post and vote you will be subject to modkill.

Also, isn't it way too early to even vote now, since i'd say half the people have yet to post/read their role PM's? Only complete inactives -- people who don't vote or post at all -- are modkilled. An inactive person as far as lynching purposes go would be someone who doesn't actually contribute anything to the discussions at hand. Posts that are spammy and few, votes without justification, and a general lack of contribution to the discussion are all pretty indicative of someone who would make a good lynch for inactivity.

No meaningful posts? And how will we pick the inactive? Or should we all pick our own inactive to lynch? I really should have clarified this. When I say we are lynching inactives, we are not just lynching inactives, we are really lynching people who "contribute without really contributing." As in, we're trying to pressure people who don't talk so that people will talk. Basically, if someone hasn't made a meaningful post, I'm going to vote for them. I'm picking them somewhat at random, but really we should all decide on one(and then another, and so forth like I'm doing) so that the pressure is really there. Also, isn't it way too early to even vote now, since i'd say half the people have yet to post/read their role PM's? This would make sense however there is more than one reason to start voting now. By starting out with the "be active or die" stance people are encouraged to post from the start. The main problem with day 1 is the lack of information, and sometimes day 2 happens and since no one posted, we're basically at the same state as day 2. Votes serve a double purpose right now: they generate discussion and they get people to post meaningful content.
