I would probably balance high templars by giving them detection and/or a skill that can scout, far sight or some shit (can see 2/3 screens away). Or change colossus into a more skilled unit by regularly shooting one laser, and shooting two lasers if you actively micro him onto two units.

Have you ever seen the movie "Wanted"? In there there's a weird printing press / loom that prints out the names of people who they need to assassinate. Our events are done the exact same way, we have a magic 8ball with about 500 different types of events and we just roll it when we feel like it.
