Is there anyway you'd consider adding some sort of overlay to let us see your song? That'd be super sick. I'm sure it'd be easier than posting a playlist, and it'd let some of us expand our library of metal music if we don't have specific song you're playing :D

I'm not saying anything bad about Incontrol because maybe he got grubby's/spanishwa's permission to do it, but I'd think that with the fact that people actually get money from the amount of viewers they have it's a bit rude to do it... if they were watching incontrol, the other streamer didnt have them to start with if they are watching both, why would they close the other stream? if they are just watching incontrol, they might be introduced to a new stream

A friend says 'yo inc streaming grubby with commentary' and i automatically would switch from grubby's stream to incontrol's stream; more content. Or hell, he just see's incontrol is streaming and decides to watch him over grubby, but incontrol is just using grubby's content. You can argue that people are watching his stream because he's doing the commentary and the extra interaction, but you're still stealing/using (depending on permission) at the expense of him ($$$$$$$)

They said hi to him on their streams and didn't seem to have a problem with it. Most people aren't making a living on streaming so i doubt they really care.

It's pretty simple really.. if the person commentating isn't good at it nobody tunes in. If the person being streamed is bad nobody commentates their stream. It isn't like anybody has a stream made up entirely of streaming other people. Tyler, Day9, myself from time to time obs streams and commentate them.. not a big deal. If anything most people have both streams up.

Just because you don't do it often shouldn't weight in the argument either. Either it's okay to do it all the time or it's not okay to do it at all. The rest of your argument I don't really understand. I won't post again as it's not a big deal and obviously nobody who is effected minds so no big deal. In the future to anybody who does something like this I'd recommend if you want to commentate - go ahead - but just do audio so the viewers have to have both streams open. Can't take viewers then.

Having a precedent and a threshold for things is completely fine. Eating pizza is fine. Eating only pizza is bad. Other people doing something that is/was found acceptable means it is more than likely acceptable for you to do it as long as the factors remain fairly similar. You are arguing to argue as you've stated several times you essentially have no context in terms of historical use of said activity nor do you have any stake in what is being discussed. This last element will probably be another thing you throw away as "I don't know why that matters" but of course it does. Streamers don't care. People that do it / have had it done via their stream don't care. Some random guy who probably watches streams wants to argue about it = less important.

Also - keep in mind there could be a small yet key difference between found acceptable and tolerated. Nobody did anything about it because nobody really cared (also, nobody started streaming for money until relatively recently unless I'm mistaken. Historical context past a few months isn't relevant). It's only a matter of maybe $5 to Grubby (using today as an example) so it's possible it's just not worth making a fuss over it especially since it doesn't happen often. He tolerates it (disclaimer: not making judgment on what his thoughts actually are.). The fact that it's new is also a decent reason to bring up the topic at least to think about. Arguing about right and wrong is never 'arguing to argue' btw. Just because it doesn't affect me directly doesn't mean I don't care, nor does it mean I shouldn't have an opinion. I love the SC2 scene and streaming is a large part of it - especially with people starting to stream for the rare money that pro gamers need to keep doing what they do. Sorry for posting when I said I wouldn't post anymore. Bad analogies to argue is a bit of a pet peeve. And it seems quite simple to just have audio and maybe something on the screen telling the viewers what you're doing. Problem solved, and fact in this case you'd probably get him more viewers.

Nobody involveD cares so I'm good to go thx though Basically, do whatever the fuck you want until it's actually an issue. Stream any game you want until somebody(like Grubby or IdrA) tells you not to. If Grubby says please don't steal my viewers, then you have no right to. But if Grubby doesn't give a fuck then there's no reason any one else should. Your commentary adds content for the viewers, there's really no way to argue against that.
