Also, did you think your attack would win outright, or were you counting damaging him enough to let your late expo not put you behind? Just curious, since you spotted the nexus with your obs but didn't expo for quite awhile.

Do you normally do that against T? Yep! You should always make wall off with your beginning buildings, unless you have some other specific purpose (like getting a gateway closer to the enemy to cut rush distance). Or did you just know he didn't have the larvae for it at that point? Also, lol nice to know even 2000+ diamonds venture out without observers against Z sometimes, I hate when I take for granted Z won't be waiting with burrowed roaches. I actually only do that when I 6 gate push, because I know the only thing that can withstand it is roaches or mass spines, or a lot lot of lings. I immediatly feel more comfortable with my PvZ (what the lesson was covering), as I understand weaknesses / strengths now of the matchup and how i can/should exploit them. Spectacular job.

He went over several questions I had with vital replays explaining the theory behind each timing attack and opening strategy. My PvZ play has been very weak, but now after CecilSunkure's solid advice, I feel ready to demolish Idra. Now I won't overstalker early game, or pressure after 5 min 15 secs if he goes pool first. Additionally, I'll place my cannons better and protect them with tech buildings, and get 5+ cannons at my natural when I'm expanding to my 3rd base. Also, I'll be more proactive about never letting my nexus hit 100 energy again! :D For those new to CecilSunkure's stream, I'd highly recommend watching him play and asking about his lessons. Thanks for the awesome comments guys! I'm away visiting family for a few days, will be back in action soon with more streaming, some interesting self-commentations on games, interesting practice with great players (players better than me ^_^), and more one on one lessons with randomly drawn people from my stream! I look forward to streaming more, and hope more people join in.

I've decided to start offering lessons at a rate of $12 per hour! Email me at CecilSunkure@hotmail.com to set up a private lesson. Check out the rest of this thread to see what people thought about my free lessons -a private lesson is taken all the more seriously! EDIT: I've also tweaked my stream's video settings and gained additional quality! XD

Cecil is one of those rare people who is not only extremely good at what he does, but is also capable of passing on what he knows, something that not everyone can do, regardless of their ability. The ability to pass on your skills is a much more valuable thing than simply having those skills, and Cecil is a great teacher. patient and very proficient at tailoring the things he says in a way that each individual student can understand.

Learned a ton about focusing on a plan well into the midgame, rather than freestyling thing, and using a flexible build order to respond to anything the Zerg does. A fantastic lesson and I immediately feel a ton safer in PvZ than I used to. Looking forward to the next lesson. -Dhal

You still gonna do any free lessons? If I ever get back into playing often enough (school has been eating up retarded amounts of my time and motivation) I'd like to get a chance for you to tell me how bad I am, lol.

CecilSunkure's 1 on 1 session was really quite helpful - despite being a 3300 masters protoss I found that there were still so many basic fundamental things to learn and fix with my gameplay i.e. sim city, when and when not to engage, probe production. Having someone with a real desire to help you become better is what made the experience very enjoyable.

Having just finished my 2nd session I can't wait to apply what he taught me to laddering, Cecil focuses on the big picture but as he's playing with you points out all the little things that will give you a small edge in your game. He is critical and to the point but in a friendly way. I recommend his coaching to anyone who is looking to improve their game, his price/value is only going to go up so get in while you can.

I took three lessons from Cecil, two of them back in February and the last one recently in the middle of March. At the start of the new ladder season, I went on a 40win->12 losses win streak in Diamond on the SEA server and placed rapidly into Masters. Last night I then placed into Masters on North America. Prior to this I had been struggling along at high diamond level (at 3.3k points in Diamond last season riding on my bonus pool) and the reason for my improvement is almost completely due to Cecil's lessons. Thanks!

Hopefully Cecil will be able to produce more content again, now that his internet is fixed (touch wood). When you come on TL, just take the trouble to look in the non-featured streams for CecilSunkure, which is where his stream is going to be temporarily (~_^). You will not be disappoint. -- The_kernel / iStarKraft

Even though I was pretty much the only one watching, he got his microphone, answered all my questions and explained this thought process during his games. He is a really good player, aswell as a nice and helpful guy. If you want to improve as a Protoss-player, I highly recommend watching this guy!
