1) Do NOT promote your own stream in this thread. You may create a separate thread to do so. 2) Do NOT post in this thread to request a streaming site / channel change.

3. If I have a really good computer but bad upload speed (0.41 Mb/s), I can still stream right?
1) justin.tv / twitch.tv 2) I think so, as long as people watch it. 3) no (yes you can stream, but it will look like garbled shit)

Just curious, I've noticed a lot of non-featured streams that are almost always offline, but still show up in the list. Is there any regular clean-up of the non featured? Or a way to just not have them show up if they're not online? (like how the featured streams work)

They eventually turn off. Some people by mistake leave their "online" status on on the forums. Or perhaps they just finished.
Eventually the site turns them off, just takes a few minutes.
Those who forget to turn off their stream get this message: Your TL stream was detected as offline for over 10 minutes but was not marked offline. Please remember to set your stream to offline or VODs when you are done live streaming. You can use the arrow next to 'Stream' at the top-left of every page to easily mark your stream as VODs or Offline.
If you are tired of receiving this message, you can set your stream to automatically detect online/offline in your stream control panel. .

The title of your stream will be the same as your username. Use the name change thread if this isn' t what you want. Custom stream titles will not be given on request.
Does my TeamLiquid name have to match my Justin.tv username/URL, or match the title the appears at the top of my stream page?

No it can be different. When people click on your stream on TL.net it will say: "Zur's stream".

It's a shame that I can't get my stream up on TL since I didn't bother to make a profile until recently even though I've been a fan for months. It doesn't seem like the 3 month rule is relevant to whether or not your stream can be listed.
Yeah the 3 month rule is a bummer. I can see why they need it though. They don't want just anyone using team liquid as an advertising place for their stream. With the 3 month rule you at least help ensure the user is a member of the community in some regard. It's not fool proof, but I'm sure it helps.
1 month to go for me. :D

Ooh, I see this sticky got changed to a more proper location!

Quick question about the application process.
So my stream is now listed in the non-featured, excellent ! But how does one get his thread moved to the "user stream" section instead of general ? I put my link in my application and everything, I think it fits the requirements mentioned in the OP. Is it only a matter of time to be approved by a moderator or is it something else ? I want to emphasize that I'm not impatient at all, my question is more about "do I just need to wait or did I miss something about the requirements and need to fix it ?"
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you just need to wait. If you have a topic and you applied for it to be moved, it's just a question of time :3
|
You might want to add twitch.tv to your list of stream hosts you're allowed to use.
|
TwitchTV is the same as Justin.TV.

Whole featured thingy is wrong.. i'm not gonna call out name of site but they basically always have stream sorted by numbers-so the rly currently most watched players are sorted out based on number of viewers. If some big event is going on, it is being pinned out - pretty straight forward and bureaucracy is gone.. yet there you type three-thousands of words to get "FEATURED" and have less viewers than regular one bellow you.. simply non-sense

Actually, I don't know if I applied for it to be moved... I know I applied for my stream to be listed (which it is) and I put my thread link in the application. But I don't know if there's another application I'm supposed to do for the thread to be moved. For now my thread remains on General, even though it's regularely edited and updated with news and infos. <3

Hello can I have my name changed from critster to moJo-

The stream page denotes exactly what it does on the page.
Denotes who it is, what race they're playing, if they're in any event (if selected), and a little info about the person.
I understand that players can put where they're playing at in the info location but would it potentially possible to add a small feature just like the race option of where people are playing?
Don't really know if this is possible to include or not (but I hope it can be), but I know some members prefer to watch games located on KR client over NA or EU over KR and the like solely for the entertainment value and the gameplay of the games.

Do you still make your stream thread in "SC2 General" or "User Streams"?

SC2 General or BW General. As far as I know, it is not possible to make a topic in the User Streams section

Is 0.87 Mb/s a good or decent upload speed?
