Especially considering the easy bracket they'd have finishing first. i'm the one not putting france as a favourite, but the pressure of the first game is something and you could see it

We just had a perfect example of a team of talented individuals without any cohesion, discipline and solidarity vs the exact opposite. Well at least when you start with a team of super talented individuals you can build a team during the tournament ![]()

That's not false, but there's only so much you can do during the span of a tournament. And my bet is that France will steamroll Albania and Switzerland without breaking a sweat because they're really weak, and thus won't build anything because they won't face difficulty. And then, they'll get shredded by the first good team they meet.

France looked incredibly poor for most of the game. Against stronger opposition, they may crumble. Then again, this may be a morale booster. The overall point though is that if the rest of matchday 1 goes according to plan, France in no way looks like a clear favorite over the likes of Germany/Spain. They look to have quite a few weaknesses as well.

Anything other than a win is disappointing...

On the favorite topic, I don't see france the strongest team of the tournament, but they have enough to take it. They deserve to be called one of the favorite

France has an easy bracket, and winning 2-3 big games at home isn't unrealistic. What are you talking about ? The best team won ![]()
