Laurens: I have Belgium advancing in that match as well.
Have you ever had an inhouse betting league over an entire season? Betting 2-1 every game is the winning strategy.

However, I usually deliberately bet on higher scores, because i dont really want watch a game having the thought of "plz no more goals for the sake of my prediction" in the back of my mind by half time.

Remember my World Cup where i said it was gonna be a world cup full of goals and it delivered, was a very entertaining 2014 world cup, lots of good goals and interesting games, where as the previous tournament in South Africa had way less goals. Yeah; Goals scored 171 (2.67 per match) ![[image loading]](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/af/Flag_of_South_Africa.svg/23px-Flag_of_South_Africa.svg.png) Goals scored 145 (2.27 per match) Was a pretty big difference in 26 extra goals over the 64 games and i could see the Euros being at least 2.7 goals per game over the course of the tournament. Even with the managers complaining? about the heat already.
A few years ago there were statistics that goals had decreased quite a bit with South Africa being the ultimate low-point. So Brazil having 27 goals actually doesnt mean much

True, but in the Goldman example, most matches are 1-1. Won't get you any points for correct results (depending on your fantasy league).

2014 Goals scored 171 (2.67 per match) 2010 Goals scored 145 (2.27 per match) 2006 147 (2.3 per match) 2002 & 161 (2.52 per match) 1998 171 (2.67 per match) 1994 141 (2.71 per match) (52 games played)
So basically in the 64 game format Brazil is tied with France for most goals so we did improve! My point was also it seems to be going full circle, from a very defensive period in middle 00s to a way more offensive game in mid 10s
