The team is full of tricky and pacy players, but they don't have anyone who can dictate and control play (whether from deep or from the front). The French will always struggle to keep possession against the Spanish so will have to set themselves up defensively. If France could ever find another great No. 10, they would have another great side.

This is going to be interesting, I think France will try to win the midfield against Spain... tough job, Spain will be Spain and no matter the pressure France applies they will control, toughly but they will. Spain wins 2-1 in the full 90 minutes. France had trouble after the Sweden game. Supposedly, Nasri and Diarra got into a fight, and Ben Arfa threatened to leave the team after being substituted.

Spain wins 2-1 in the full 90 minutes. There is no chance that the French will win the midfield with a trio of M'Vila, Cabaye, Malouda. They are going to have to play for the breaks.

I know Fabregas has dived here and there before, but Clichy caught his heels this time. It was accidental, but it certainly wasn't a dive.

On a side note, Pique not looking to safe today - there may be hope for France.
