Yes, as a spectator, is better if they attack each other till one dies, but that's the worst scenario for Spain as players are not known for having a very strong condition.
So if you put in the equation a team whose best asset is ball circulation, plus having scored already (first 30 min were quite good IMO), plus a team that didn't die attacking = Spain for sure it's not gonna risk counterattacks This is partly true. From WC 2010 Spain is a difference team from what they were in the past. Spain was always a good team and King of the qualifier but never actually doing good in main tourney until they play the Barca style. But in order to maintain this style you will need a line-up of very technique gifted players which can be easily maintain in club level(since you can buy whoever you want) but very difficult to maintain at national level.
Spain has taken a 180 degree turn in their play style and that bring them tremendous success, but I don't see this style of play can be a trade-mark of Spain because once this generation of Xavi, Silva, Iniesta, Alonso has gone I don't see Spain can keep playing like this anymore. And the time is near since Xavi and Alonso are not likely to participate another EURO.

Actually, before this 2-0 victory against France, every game of Spain in WC 2010(in knock-out stage) has been 1-0. These are WC 2010 Spain knock-out result1/16 Spain 1 0 Portugal 1/8 Spain 1 0 Paraguay 1/4 Spain 1 0 Germany Final Spain 1 0 Netherlands. It seems that teams still can't find a way to counter the possession play of Spain. Unlike the beautiful play of Barcelona, Spain makes this boring cos they can't play it as good as Barca 'cos they lack Messi . This Spain team is basically Barcelona w/o Messi thus make it much more boring but still very effective.
That is not true. Spain played awesome in Eurocup 2008. Spain is not playing bad bacause "No Messi", It is playing bad because Del Bosque "Deffensive Double Pivot with Busquets and Alonso", people like Torres or Arbeola (It should play Llorente/Adrian and Juanfran).
Del Bosque is just a bad coach that makes Spain plays horrible.

You see, worst haters are from our own country xD.
Now Del Bosque is an awful coach that only wins everything because of the good players, not because of him. Maybe the same could be said about his 2 CLs won in R.Madrid (and I'm a Barça supporter).
What people don't say is that in 2008 Spain was kind of unpredictable, but the difficult bit is when EVERYONE knows how you play, they prepare the best "counter"-strategy to it, and yet they lose.

I have said that Del Bosque makes Spain play bad since his first match, it is not a "now" thing. Almost 4 years with that ridicoulus Double Pivot. Barcelona would play horrible too with that system.

I don't even support Spain but that was EZ.
Except against Ronaldo, then I'll be cheering my guts out.

Xabi Alonso and Busquets are not De Jong and Van Bommel. They are very good creative players. The only thing Spain is lacking is a genuine striker in the lineup, and yea they do lack a bit of pace upfront at times when they do get the counter.
Tthe only reason Del Bosque seems to be doing it is to change it up to try and throw teams off later in the game. An inform Torress or a healthy Villa would have pretty much solved the problem but he doesnt have them and Llorente isnt someone who runs into channels lets be honest although I'd still like him to play more than Torress.
I dont like it but it makes sense to me. Just like Blancs tactics I dont like but I get what he was thinking.
As for the WC. Hell even Germany refused to play football in the semi and they were brilliant up until then, same for the Dutch, Paraguay gave them the most trouble and they were the worst of the lot.

Man, I wish I knew where to start watching soccer. Seems like such a cool sport to watch.

Start from documentaries, but dont go too far back. WC 1998 is ideal.

lol your 2008 coach wouldn't do much better than del bosque without Villa either
He is a world class striker, finisher and creater of chances. It's normal that you play worse without him.
