losing to france? so NOT gonna happen ! :D if we would lose to france i'd jump off a bridge :D
My prediction is of course Germany and I'm glad I can finally make this prediction not only with optimism but also with being realistic! Dem boys gonna bring it home !!!!!!! GO GET EM BOYS !!!!
Oh and if you look at the german history you that they dont need a good preparation to rock the tournament ! Altough a Schweinsteiger out of shape is big hit, but he is so friggin good that even out of shape he can do a rock solid performance!
But Spain of course is a serious threat everytime. When the "Furia Roja" is released there is not much in the world who can resist! And Germanys defence sometimes gives us sloppy performances.
The Netherlands are without a doubt strong as hell. BUT i dont think they can aim for the title. they could very well reach the final but their defence is too weak for the big thing. Like an old wise football dude said:"A good offence wins you games. A good defence though, wins you tournaments!"
My dark horse is France since their last performances over the years were maybe shitty, but the pure quality of players is always on a solid level. And it seems that they gained their team spirit back, what is the most important factor in tournaments .But still I would hang myself if we lose to em.
Also dont underestimate Poland. Home advantage is best advantag, as I always say. :D They have a solid team especially with the guys from my beloved Borussia Dortmund, the german champion the second time in a row. Lewandowski is one of THE upcoming forwards in Europe. And people who watch the german Bundesliga closely, know, that Lukasz Piszczek is a world class defender on the right side. And we all know how rare these good right-backs are :D

Lol poland not looking very strong, even with home advantage. Not getting out of their group

Winner, Runner up for the groups
A- Russia, Czech B- Holland, Germany C- Spain, Italy D- France, England
QF1- Russia < Germany 1-3 QF2- Spain > England 2-0 QF3- Holland > Czech 2-1 QF4- France > Italy 3-2
SF1- Spain >Germany 2-1 SF2- France>Holland 3-2
France > Spain 1-1(5-4)
Obviously this depends on if France shows up ready, but they have the talent and after WC2010 they seem to be ready to rise back to prominence.

I only hope Portugal can make it out of the group. After 2004 I've been waiting to see Portugal win the Euro lol Probably won't be this year but if we make it out of the devil's group, I think I'll be very happy with my countries performance.
Spain is still very strong and so is Germany so one of those two are probably going to win.

A: Russia, Poland B: Germany, Holland C: Spain, Italy D: France, England
overall: GERMANY =D

Spain is an easy pick here. Strong overall team, exceptionally well organized and strong defense. We'll have to see about offense, what i've seen from Torres recently makes me believe, that he's come out of his crisis.
Germany has players with sick potential, i think the time is good for them to shine. We'll have to see how stable the defense turns out to be and they really need Klose as a striker. Gomez scores a lot in the league and CL, but he's horrible when it comes to passing and his technical skills are poor. He's not a modern striker, but that's what the team needs. Klose, Müller and Reus would be far better in the agile 4-2-3-1 system.
France seems like a really solid team this year. They can beat everyone, they can lose to everyone when the team atmosphere is low, but after finally kicking Domenech i think they've got a fair chance to come far in that tournament. Strong defense, creative midfield and Benzema is a cold blooded son of a Tricolore.
Holland has really good offensive potential, but their defense is sort of meh. De Jong and Van Bommel will have to stabilize the team a lot, but i don't think they're up to the job anymore. Pretty hard to balance this team.
Sweden is my personal favourite and i believe that they've got a good team this year. They are very experienced and Ibrahimovic finally started to play as well for the national team as for his clubs. If the coach manages to give this team a good balance they can beat any opponent. I hope this is the year for them to shine.
Portugal, Italy, England all have their chances, but it's hard to say if they manage to show their individual class as a team.

I'm surprised as to how little credit the Russian team is getting in this tournament. I'm a little biased being Russian myself :p but, they seem to be in an incredible shape, storming through the qualifiers and just now looking unstoppable in their first group match. It's a big question whether they would be able to beat Germany or Holland - one of which unfortunately will likely play them in semis - but I think they're a much stronger contender in this tournament than teams like England, Italy, or Poland are.

I believe Germany/Spain/Italy all go with the 1st change.. all tough teams capable of memorable games during high pressure matches.
|
Finals: France vs Russia.
You heard it here first.
