Spain looked pretty dominating yesterday. I don't know how the brackets work out and whether they have to face Russia in the finals, or semis, but I'd say this is between three teams: Spain, Germany and Russia. France looked strong against England, but not as strong as they were in 1998/2000. Italy disappointed yesterday and Holland has been playing terribly and will be knocked out, either by Portugal or in the quarter finals.

Spain will win imo, they've played very well so far, and they'll most likely meet Germany in the finals (if possible), and germans dont seem to happy to play against teams that has as much posession as Spain, so I think that Spain will take it, they played so well against Ireland, they look very promising. They could use Villa though, but Torres looks like he's in good shape atm, and they'll just get better and better as the tournament progresses.

Nice to see I got Holland right then, I didn't see them beating Portugal, even won a few quid on Ronaldo scoring and Portugal winning, get in!

Spain didn't look amazing going forward against Croatia but it was a Croatian team that set out to have as many bodies inbetween the goal and the Spaniards as possible and just counter when they had a chance. I'd still have Spain as favs.

Portugal should beat Czech Rep, Spain should beat either France, England or Ukraine so SF 1 would be Portugal v Spain.
Germany to beat Greece, Italy could be vs England, Ukraine or France and that one is a coin toss imo if it is France. I'll take a punt and say France to win through from this side.

So Predicted SF's:

Portugal v Spain
Germany v France

Not sure out of Germany v France tbh. France either go out in the group stages or get to the final, so they could upset the odds and book another runners up spot at least. This is assuming they don't implode today and actually just go out in the group stages ofc lol!

Germany matches up really bad against Spain tho, they can't play the possession game because spain's midfield is just too good and they're not good enough defensively to let Spain have the ball and counter attack. France will also have a tough time in that matchup for the same reasons.

Portugal and Italy, on the other hand, should have a decent shot against Spain.
