The thing is it's impossible for him to gain the knowledge that he could have beatenen kolll if he played straight up by beating him once. So to me what morrow is saying is "I am a better player than kolll, I just lost because I played cheesy/weird builds." And so my question is... why did he specifically prepare those builds? And even if he didn't "realize" until after game one that he could definitely beat kolll straight up why did he continue to go through with his other builds?

I dunno I just don't like this "the other guy won because I messed up" thing (see also: Cloud vs G5)

Yeah it's true. This is why loser interviews are generally a bad idea and are rarely done.

Am I the only one who didn't read any bm/sour grapes into Morrow's comments at all? He's disappointed that he lost, he knows he got outplayed, but of course he believes that the series could have easily gone the other way. Consider that Morrow beat Kolll in two other tournaments before TSL. I didn't see anything wrong with Morrow regretting his build choices and execution. It's only natural. His comments were very acceptable and he had an appropriate amount of humility.

I would be very happy to do one of my audio interviews with you, NonY, should you be interested. I've done quite a few already, check out the sidebar and see it the format suits you

wünderkid is colloquial German for "wonderboy", sorry about the confusion.

It so isnt . The word Wünder does not exist, not even in colloqial German.
Maaaaaaybe it could be used in a very bad and nineties "joke" ridiculing turkish immigrants trying to say Wunder, but i doubt that was your intention.

You are right, that was not my intention My knowledge of German is missing at best, or maybe the right word to describe it with would be "über-colloquial"? ;D

I thought wünderkid was pretty funny, especially since wunderkind (the only correct term) is also used just like that in English, right?

Nice interview! I also wondered why MorroW didn't play standard, he has shown he can do it. Anyway it's always nice to see interviews with the losing players also, good job!

No. I agree with you.

It was a really nice interview. I think Morrow is a nice guy. He showed a lot of respect for kolll, calling him a friend and giving him credit for his win.

When you ask a loser about his losses you can't expect him to say only about how his opponent outplayed him. He is there to analyse the mistakes and the bad choices he did. That's what Morrow did, without being any cocky at all.

this happens so often in starcraft. I find it really BM as well. just suck it up and admit you lost instead of making excuses..

I'm actually quite surprised, used to be in the same team as him and I personally dislike him on b.net. As I remember, very cocky, immature and bm. But this interview he seemed to have very much humility, maturity and good manner. Kudos man, Best of luck in the future
