His post sounds a little homophobic and he martyr'd. But there was no massive aggressive stance in his post or anything that would call for an outright ban (except the martyr.) He is most likely just an innocent naive kid, hence the 2 day. Besides, if we're wrong and he is actually a troll in disguise, it isn't hard to reban afterwards.

Maybe there should be a time out function on the forum. Like if you feel you are about to rage you press a button and give yourself a 2 day temp ban. Would probably have saved me from the two bans I've gotten so far lol.

This function exists. It's just not automated. The way you do it now is to find a forum that's frequented by mods (such as this one) and to say "ban me for 2 days plz."
If it's by request, most mods won't mind to do you the favor, since it doesn't take much time and they rack up their bancount.

The only reason I'm not permabanning you is because I can tell you're being honest and are just a bit ignorant, and aren't trying to be inflammatory. I like that about you, you have an honest soul and very kind eyes. If you'd like, I can teach you a thing or two on how to be more accepting. I think you'll really grow from it and be thankful for the experience. Your skin seems quite soft. Will you have a reaction to cotton tied around your wrists? Maybe I'll get silk instead.
