This thread is for discussing recent bans. Don't discuss other topics here. Take it to website feedback if you disagree with a ban or want to raise an issue. Keep it civil.NOTE: For those of you who want to find the actual ABL thread where the bans are posted. Please look in here: https://tl.net/forum/closed-threads/ |
LegalLord was just temp banned for 1 week by KwarK.
That account was created on 2013-04-06 03:39:42 and had 11170 posts.
Reason: Honestly I just don't know why we keep you around here. You have literally no redeeming qualities. None. i disagree, i think the user has more than zero redeeming qualities. In addition, this note doesn't say what the specific infraction is that resulted in the one week ban.

I think most of the protests against the ban have already been registered.

i'm not protesting the ban itself. i know nothing about it due to the "Reason:" registered. The "Reason:" is not clear... however i looked back on the previous pages as you recommended and now i get it.
i still don't think the temp banned user has zero redeeming qualities.

I know this isn't website feedback, but since you asked (as a guy who reads a lot both on TL and LL): - Lack of moderation to enforce quality discussion. As a result of this most of the high level players stopped posting. - Both of the active subcommunities (LR and offtopic) that kept the site alive migrated to discord. - A number of writers (including Fionn) went to write for other sites and replacements are/were hard to come by (although the current writers are also good) - Lack of community-binding interactions such as inhouses and tournaments, although the members themselves did try to keep these alive. - Lack of new members since the site doesn't have the same kind of name or exposure as TL/LD. Most of these issues were already sort of there when LL was made, but being a separate site definitely exacerbated them.

Speaking of threading the line, I thought that you have been permed a long time ago

It's kind of a shame, especially given the popularity of TL's League team. Of course, the team is primarily managed by the Curse part of TL, but I do think that a little bit more interaction could have benefited both sides. Now I didn't expect pros posting on LLthe same way Nerchio and Scarlett do on TL for example (although we did have this in 2011-2012), but an occasional AMA or something along those lines would have been cool.

Also, at least in some part laziness of people who just stopped interacting with the community once it got split off. I was kind of active on the LoL subforum when it still existed, and basically never posted once it got split off. Granted, i also didn't play LoL a lot anymore at around that time.

The last two pages are much more intriguing if one assumes that "LL" has the same meaning in all posts.

this is why people should only ever refer to him as steveman, not even lightwip

Can you be a diva on tl without a "horrible notes" tag attached that will inevitably lead to being banned?
Let me rephrase: who's a diva on tl?
(obviously the follow up question is "what's their mod notes like?")
