He has zero analytical insight of what is happening in every game. He only tells the most obvious things, that any person could see. He is always eating, drinking or coughing while casting. I'll give him that he is a good play by play commentator, but is very clear that he doesent do any research of his own, or attempts to learn the game necessary to provide insightful commentary. Now he has started ruining proleague as well. The duo Wolf - Valdes is a million times better than Tasteless - Valdes or whoever. Its not so bad in the GSL, but that is only because of Artosis who is clearly the superior caster. When artosis is asking him which build he thinks player x will use, you can just hear he is guessing and has nothing to say to back it up. | ||

 I have to say though, that tasteless has improved a lot in terms of this. Half a year ago or so, I was pretty vocal about how tasteosis, led by tasteless, would talk about non-sc2 things for the first 5 minutes of the game, and completely ignore important things going on on the screen. While that still is standard to some extent(to my disliking), it is a lot better. I've even notices tasteless a few times pretty abruptly interrupt his off-topic co-caster (wasn't artosis, valdes?) to comment on important in-game things. So while it still bugs me a bit, it is not at all as bad as it was before, and he should get credit for that. I guess it is the shorter downtime ine lotv, and tasteless' new-found passion for the game in lotv? He keeps talking about how much better lotv is than the previous version, so I am starting to think that it is his actual opinion, not just default caster praise. | ||

I agree with you here, I feel like they're way much better than before. Or maybe it's the fact that I'm watching less and less SC2, and the less SC2 you watch the better Tastosis gets? | ||

Once you get into watching really random stuff, that's when you get to truly appreciate how good the good casters are But I have always enjoyed Tastosis casts through the years, I just like their vibe. I have usually a lot of my own opinions about the game at hand, so who cares if they are wrong sometimes ... On the other hand, it's impossible to not notice how Tasteless improved lately. It's probably in the beard. | ||
