if i were to guess i'd say he was banned for derailing the thread.
i fear that this banning might be incorporated into his beliefs, but i don't think it will. i think he seems like a reasonable guy from my interactions with him. it would be sad if it did, his posts are usually very entertaining to read, but replying to them tends to bring out the worst in people.

in my previous interaction with him he said this about people giving him a hard time because of 'blizzard vs him' -
