Either way, it doesn't matter if it's only 1%. An update shouldn't make your site less accessible unless it's at the will of some revolutionary feature. And they could at least (without making the whole site responsive) fit it into 960px with some queries that only make the sidebars and header more narrow. And either way the issue isn't 4:3, it's a low screen resolution, which will happen to people on small laptops or netbooks as well, are those people stuck in the 90s?
Netbooks are not meant to be full computers. They were crappy when they came out and are even more crappier now. You have to side scroll a bit, but hey you get good battery life and a small packaging for cheap. The site is only like 1200 pixels wide. The 1024x768 times are a really long time ago. No reason to handicap the website for that. You don't need to handicap a website to make it accessible unless we're talking about advanced web applications which would have limitations based on browsers. You're handicapping a website by making it fixed width unless you're doing so for good reason, typically because the budget wouldn't allow for the amount of time to be spent to make a similar quality non fixed width site. It's still an indisputable negative to not support it, if it's worth the effort is another question.

none of the BW stuff appears for me, they actually appear striked out in settings.

okay i think i've got it, I've got BW hidden on top

Does anyone else think the pixel change is a bit imbalanced?

View counter for streams is very nice. As is widening the side bar.

So the organisation is by Tournaments, Games General, Strategy, Community, Other Games, Blogs instead of BW/SC2/Dota now.
Seems you guys are getting ready to add more games to TL?

Thing is, a site has to move forward. Times change, peoples computers get better. It's 2013 now. 1024x768 resolutions where getting old 10 years ago.
It's like forever keeping 4x3 resolutions on televison broadcast when the big majority of viewers has a widescreen tv, at a certain time you have to move on.

Looks really awesome, once the right sidebare stops relocating itself under the streams (using firefox), I will be very happy .

Go there, resize your browser. It isn't magic.

Any chance that we could have the option of getting rid of the news section on the left sidebar? For me it's just a waste of space that means I have to scroll to see all the forums I have showing .
Other than that the changes are decent I guess.

Edit: Btw, I have not problems with the new site, even on my obviously not up to date monitor.

Where's the other games stuff?

I really like the changes. For some reason it reminds me of the Windows 8 aesthetic changes. :D Love it! Thanks!

1280x1024 is not 4:3, it's 5:4 :p
And, as grs mentioned, the site works wonderfully on a 19" 1280x1024 screen - I use one as my second monitor.

In-thread title banner looks goofy.

It isn't magic. I guess some responsive stuff will be added after the main site is established and confirmed to be working. In that case that would be like 10 minutes of work to widen the sidebars only when the screen is wider than x pixels. Keep your hopes up.
