Update Sep 18 2013: Tickets are now available for everyone. No TeamLiquid account is required. Purchasers still must be US only and can buy up to 5 tickets each.
This year for IEM New York at New York Comic Con, TeamLiquid and ESL are cooperating to sell 500 tickets to the event and convention. We want to see as many die hard SC2 fans as possible at the event, and since tickets always sell out to the convention quickly, we are offering them to you first before selling to the general public.
As with previous years, tickets have sold out quickly and currently weekend passes are sold out on the NYCC website. We will be offering 3-day general admission passes to the convention. Tickets are $75 (shipping included, US only). Tickets to NYCC are physical tickets - they will not be sent via email, so please ensure you enter a valid postal address.
To order a ticket you will need a TeamLiquid account that is at least two weeks old. One person can buy up to two tickets total. Update: Tickets are now available to everyone, no TeamLiquid account needed. One person can buy up to five tickets total. This offer is limited to US only.
Ticket Information
A 3-Day ticket for New York Comic Con is valid Friday, October 11 to Sunday, October 13.
When you arrive at NYCC, all you have to do is go through the GREEN ENTRANCE, located at 11th Ave and 37th St, pick up your lanyard and then you will be all set to enter the Show Floor. There will be Staff Members directing all fans to the Queuing Hall in the morning.
IEM will hold the open bracket on Thursday, then the group stage and playoffs on Fri-Sun. These tickets are for Friday through Sunday so you will be able to attend the group stage and playoffs. Currently NaNiwa, ForGG, State, Polt, HuK, and qxc are qualified.
Here is the schedule for all of Comic Con:
Show Floor Hours
- Friday, October 11: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM*
- Saturday, October 12: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM*
- Sunday, October 13: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
* Artist Alley open until 8:00 PM
Panel and Screening Hours
- Friday, October 11: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Saturday, October 12: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Sunday, October 13: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Note that ESL will not be profiting from these sales, they are to ensure SC2 and ESPORTS fans are able to attend and view the event in New York. TL will receive a minor administrative fee per ticket.

I'm in Europe, and I still think this rocks. It's sad that they couldn't get international shipping, but eSports is still small and these sorts of initiatives are better than nothing. Good on you TL/ESL, hopefully next time you can offer us even more!

Great opportunity ! To be honest, not selling tickets to Europeans is not that shocking, considering that the event is physically held in the US (and I live in Europe). I'm more surprised about Canada though. But hey, next time will be even better !

Yes, you only need a ticket to Comic Con. IEM is part of the event.

I live in NYC and I just subcribed to the site. Is there anyway I can buy the 2 tickets before it sells out before hitting 2 weeks old? I don't want it to sell out on here either and I just saw the thread today and unsure how long tickets here will last.

The 2 week thing is there so that people who actually have an interest in Starcraft and this site can get the tickets, not random people that want to go to comic con.

Umm, thats rude. Since when did I say I wasn't or didn't have an interest IN starcraft? OF COURSE I do, its not like you see these professional players everyday let alone, EVERY YEAR IN NEW YORK! But thanks for making it seem like as I'm some random noob. I may be totally random, have no posts and all, but I do follow every tournament that's on twitch or at least the major ones such as DreamHacks, MLG, GSTL, etc. So yeah but thanks for that response. I'll find a way or a better response.

Well the 2 week thing is there, I suggest you get in contact with someone on TL that is unable to attend the event, lives in the U.S., and is very willing to help a fellow sc2 fan.

Maybe if you where willing to go all the way to Albany/Troy and pick a fellow TLer, things could work out for you guys. But that would be like a 4 hour drive there and back again.

Yes, PayPal only. You can make a payment via PayPal without an account and using only your credit card though by clicking the "No PayPal account" option.

Every time I try to add the ticket to my cart it says "You are not eligible to add this item to your cart." Does that mean it's sold out? Happens to a few other items too.

This item is only available for people whose accounts are more than 2 weeks old. I'm not sure if that applies to other items in the store as well.

Not really in my experience. I'd guess the cheapest destinations would probably be Vegas and cities in Florida.

Almost pulled the trigger here, just for IEM, but I never actually walk around and end up paying for a full convention I don't care about, so I'll pass.
This is great for people who want to go to ComicCon, though. Hopefully everyone who wants a ticket gets a ticket.

Yeah I'm from Troy and I'll either be taking the bus or train. I contemplated driving, but parking is such a bitch down there that it isn't worth it. Hoping one of my friends in the city will put me up but I'll drop money on a hotel if I have to.

I tried to buy a second ticket for a friend but it said "You have already ordered a ticket and are limited to one purchase." :/ It didn't say anywhere I had to buy both in the same order. I didn't know if the friend wanted it yet, so is there any way I can get that second ticket?

I was really gutted I only managed to get Thursday and Friday tickets. This will be my first live event, And I so wanted sunday tickets. Then this turned up. This is absolutely awesome. And now I have spare Friday tickets to bring friends!

That's exactly my problem. I can't find any friends that are willing to pay 75$ + hotel/food/transportation for this event so I am going alone. I'm still trying to see if housing is affordable!

Small update: if you already ordered one ticket, it's now possible to place a second order for another ticket. You're still limited to two tickets per account total, regardless if they are in separate or combined orders.

The NYCC passes are actually not supposed to come with the gift (a pair of TL stickers), you got lucky .

It doesn't matter either way, your cart is just a temporary list of things to buy. If you skipped the return to TL step after paying, then the site doesn't know you paid so your cart isn't cleared.

I hyped it out to some of my comic sources so if that gets around I doubt you'll be stuck with any tickets come NYCC time; however, keep up the message to the community to buy now because you may not have the chance later (ala - week of gamescom ticket begging.)
Also, I've seen a few people worried about the price! First, it's not unreasonable in comparison to other premier tournaments (DH winter, for example, will set you back $85 and that's without any BYOC privileges.) Second, getting access to NYCC is actually pretty cool, don't write it off. Even if you're not a fan yourself it will be a sick place to wander in the downtime and soak up a part of a different "geek" culture. Costumes, art and a ton of cool people. Promise.
Oh and you know tournament afterparties on Sunday nights? Yeah that's every night of a con (and bars are open till 4am in nyc...) Enjoy! :D

Any idea why my order has been processing for two days? I bought two tickets the first time around (last week) and they shipped the next day! I bought some more and this time is slow to process. I am very impatient.

To reduce potential risk now that the ticket sales are open to non-TL accounts, all orders have a few days delay before being shipped in case of credit card disputes or other issues. Don't worry, all passes will arrive in time for comiccon!

Finally got my first paycheck after working for 4 weeks (bi-weekly pay checks and started during a cycle already hence the delay). But now I checked Teamliquid's store and the passes are all sold out. My disappointment cannot be limited to words. This was going to be my first event and I was gonna get to see Huk AND Naniwa.
I very much doubt this but are there any other Starcraft communities like TL that are selling tickets?? Or is there anyone out there that might have purchased an extra ticket for a friend and they won't be able to make it?? I'd gladly pay top dollar for a chance to get to see my heroes live and in person.
Any help with my unfortunate situation would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Guys I just gotta say that xta gg is one of the nicest people I've ever encountered on the internet, and I feel very lucky that our community is one full of people like him. He could easily make an extra 30-50 bucks on ebay but instead he offered to sell his extra ticket for what he paid for it.
Haven't acquired the ticket just yet but I have no doubt the transaction will go off without a hitch. Just wanted to publicly thank Rex for being my white knight, the hero of this story, the savior to my prayers, the love of my life..... maybe not that last one.... but definitely the first two.
