Update Sep 18 2013: Tickets are now available for everyone. No TeamLiquid account is required. Purchasers still must be US only and can buy up to 5 tickets each.
This year for IEM New York at New York Comic Con, TeamLiquid and ESL are cooperating to sell 500 tickets to the event and convention. We want to see as many die hard SC2 fans as possible at the event, and since tickets always sell out to the convention quickly, we are offering them to you first before selling to the general public.
As with previous years, tickets have sold out quickly and currently weekend passes are sold out on the NYCC website. We will be offering 3-day general admission passes to the convention. Tickets are $75 (shipping included, US only). Tickets to NYCC are physical tickets - they will not be sent via email, so please ensure you enter a valid postal address.
To order a ticket you will need a TeamLiquid account that is at least two weeks old. One person can buy up to two tickets total. Update: Tickets are now available to everyone, no TeamLiquid account needed. One person can buy up to five tickets total. This offer is limited to US only.
Ticket Information
A 3-Day ticket for New York Comic Con is valid Friday, October 11 to Sunday, October 13.
When you arrive at NYCC, all you have to do is go through the GREEN ENTRANCE, located at 11th Ave and 37th St, pick up your lanyard and then you will be all set to enter the Show Floor. There will be Staff Members directing all fans to the Queuing Hall in the morning.
IEM will hold the open bracket on Thursday, then the group stage and playoffs on Fri-Sun. These tickets are for Friday through Sunday so you will be able to attend the group stage and playoffs. Currently NaNiwa, ForGG, State, Polt, HuK, and qxc are qualified.
Here is the schedule for all of Comic Con:
Show Floor Hours
- Friday, October 11: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM*
- Saturday, October 12: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM*
- Sunday, October 13: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
* Artist Alley open until 8:00 PM
Panel and Screening Hours
- Friday, October 11: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Saturday, October 12: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Sunday, October 13: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Note that ESL will not be profiting from these sales, they are to ensure SC2 and ESPORTS fans are able to attend and view the event in New York. TL will receive a minor administrative fee per ticket.

Why can't Canadians buy these tickets? our money is just as good :/

I'm in Europe, and I still think this rocks. It's sad that they couldn't get international shipping, but eSports is still small and these sorts of initiatives are better than nothing. Good on you TL/ESL, hopefully next time you can offer us even more!

I'm pretty sure that a European user can easily find a friend in the US with a TL account.

As much as I really want to go to this, I don't fancy the long, expensive trek to the States and the potential visa issues that follow.
