Its that time of year again! The incoming freshman are moving into the dorms, construction crews are scrambling to finish last minute additions to campus, traffic is beginning to get terrible, the parking spot you so proudly held over the summer has been taken by some bro with a raised pink SUV, and all around is the air of academic dreams, overly optimistic before the crushing realization of the first grade report comes back! But luckily there is one thing that keeps us going through it all! There is one thing that makes it worth it to wake up in the morning, and one thing that we look forward to coming home too every day! Lots and lots of coffee! ...and also eSports!!!
The University of Arizona eSports Club offers tons of opportunities to get your eSports fix over the semester! From tournaments, screening parties, barcrafts, local LANs, field trips to major eSports events, and competitive teams, its the perfect way to meet and hang out with fellow eSports enthusiasts on campus! Check us out on facebook at www.facebook.com/groups/114935041943860/ or email at azesports@gmail.com for more information!
But since Teamliquid is primarily a Starcraft site (pooh pooh on inferior esports), the best part of the UA eSports Club for Sc2 players is the UA Starcraft 2 Team!
This last year the UA Sc2 Team made it to the playoffs of the Collegiate Starleague, as well as almost always seeing its players in the top 3 of local AZ LANs! This year we are planning to be even bigger and better starting off in CSL Season 6! But to do so we need your talent!
Whether you are an aspiring GM, or just want to meet other Sc2 gamers to play with on campus, the UA Sc2 Team is looking to recruit you for the next semester! We meet twice a week, once on campus for Team Meetings, and once online for Team Practice. Meetings and Practice are mandatory for competitive players, but if you just want to come and hang out, you are welcome to attend meetings as much as you'd like!
No skill level is required to join the team (although you might not get played if you are under at least a diamond level), and all you need is a valid UA email address to join!
