I also get storage tank hire with strange regularity. I don't even understand. So I randomly noticed something really weird. I haven't posted a blog on TL since 2013. However, if I look at my blogs page there's some stats. They show my blogs as getting pretty consistently 500-1000 views a month, since mid 2014. Where is this traffic coming from? Bots? Search engine indexing? Is one of my blogs linked somewhere that gets a lot of traffic?

Someone probably clicked on the blogs button next to your name and read old blogs. That adds to the count. Is it a bad thing?

The thing is that I barely post these days, and how does that happen 500 times a month, consistently? Plus the views had basically fallen off to almost 0 by mid 2013, only to start to uptick way later. My blogs get more views per year now, than they did when I wrote them... I'm not really bothered, it just seems weird.

I just read/skimmed several of your blogs so there's another +x views. As for how, people probably looked at older threads, stumbled onto one of your post and just clicked blogs then read a blog then another etc...

I can't imagine that random people clicking on my blog from next to my posts made 9000 views in 2016, when I didn't even post on TL in 2016. It must either be bots, or linked to from some other place.
