Please, if you are not staff, don't answer questions in this thread, even if you think you know the answer. Also, please take complains about bans, question about TL as a site, etc to the Website Feedback Forum. |

The celebrity choice restrictions are basically alive and famous that's it.
EDIT: That mod's note thing is really cool.

Actually, instead of just replying in this thread, I believe the TL staff should create a brand new thread with everyone's new year's resolution on there :D

Dear Mods,
I'm concerned, after returning from a 3-month StarCraft cold-turkey stint, to find it difficult to have civil discussions with people without threads going to shreds because of bad posting. I'm no angel, but since my return I've resolved to put much more effort into each post (including as many full stops as I can handle). My question is: is there ANYTHING that can be done to raise the general level of awareness/etiquette such that threads don't just get thrown to the dogs like this one? I'm not expecting an answer, personally I believe there is none, but what ways would you think of addressing this problem?

Do Mods have anything official like that, for example, BLinD-RawR is less likely to get banned than someone who is new to the forums, just by having been a better poster for a long time. Or is it just Mods knowledge of people who have been here for a while?

There is a lot of things we consider before taking action (previous mod actions, the post itself, situation) but usually we give the veterans a little more leeway
