One time in 2006, I went horseback riding for the first time ever while visiting my father in Korea with my brother. I learned three things on that day. 1. Horseback riding hurts like crap cause you bounce up and down about 1000 times. 2. Horseback riding is fun but requires a lot of practicing because it's stupidly tricky. Their stomps are so massive that you feel like you're riding on a rampaging machine. 3. Horses randomly stop without any warning and take a massive dump whenever and wherever they feel like it. So yes, in a way, I'm somewhat afraid of horses. They can be very scary animals if you meet them on a crappy day. | ||

My sister took care of and rode horses when we were growing up and I went to the barn where she worked a few times. Those giant beasts definitely made me nervous when I was 7 years old. I would never walk closer than 10 feet behind a horse because I was scared of being one shot by a kick to the face. Horses are cool though. My impression is that you have to earn their respect and build a relationship with them as you would with another human. But it's more difficult and subtle than training a dog or something because horses are so fucking big and powerful. | ||
