If the e-famous person is known to often be called their real name, then either their real name or their e-name will be used. Like if someone from this thread bumped into artosis, they could say hey Dan, hey Artosis, or in theory hey Mr. Stremkoski (last one seems silly to me though). Same idea with tasteless, progamers, etc. Some people (like me for example) are only really known by our online names so we just get referred to by those. edit: when someone has had more than one e-name I think it's common for people to use the oldest name they know. Like, when I met Liquid`Tyler I called him Nony instead of Tyler. Also, a staff member I've known since before TL refers to me by the name I was using in a different community when we met, even though neither of us have been in that community for like 5-6 years. | ||

I almost never refer to people by their real names. It reeks too much of trying hard to show people around you you know that guy. I've lived with HotBid for over a year now and the only time we use our actual names is when we have dinner with his parents at holidays. I don't even think I knew Wax's real name until I had been working in an office with him every day for 6 months. Though I guess technically I refer to R1CH as "Rich" which is his actual name and not "R one" or something. | ||
