Hopefully I'll find the time to get StarCraft back into my schedule and then, if TL is still looking for help, I'll apply. To anyone considering it: do it! If you have the time and the skill, this is a great way to get involved in the community!

Changing the word to "recruiting" would probably save us this argument as well those personal attacks. Alternatively, if the usage of the word is intentional in an effort to grab the attention of more readers, the "unpaid" nature of the position could be specified in the first paragraphe. This way you still get the thread views and you avoid most of the confusion. Note: I will not read this thread any further to avoid getting baited into a pointless argument. I kind of understand your point? I'll change the thread title. But honestly, do you really think that fake fooling people into thinking its a paid position was really our goal? It's completely unintentional, and kind of ridiculous that anyone would think this is a reasonable strategy for getting a good volunteer writer.

I have both the interest and the time needed since I work nights in sweden with alot of spare time (and I am more or less always able to do things like this at work). Sadly, I asume that you should be a native english speaker for this to be written well enough for everyone to enjoy. I so admire everyone who take so much of their spare time to contribute to this community for to be completly frank, without those people TL would be so much less and without TL I myself woult most likely not have discovered the beauty of E-sports! GL in finding writers! Your English is pretty good man! Nice to know people appreciate the writers' work, I prefer to take and give nothing back because I'm a bad person. Hiring has a more selective connotation imo. Also, you get the chance to contribute which is priceless.

Ho-hum how times have changed. I only got 6 mil an MSL season. On the contributing side to this generally contributing-oriented post, join writers because we're cool and our hazing is so much less humiliating than the graphics team. Seriously it can be a good bit of work but it's rewarding and you get lots of quality help. Your work will be appreciated, and you get a chance to be an important part of the largest e-Sports website in the world.

Question though, are the writers who are accepted going to be put into a sort of trial period? If so, what would the trial period judge and how long would it be approximately? Thanks in advance.

I actually was wanting to become a writer a while ago, but had no idea how to become one. I'll see my schedule for this summer and most likely will apply this weekend (finals week now =\). I'm great friends with TrueRedemption and have met several other writers in person (such as motbob even though I'm sure he doesn't remember me when I found him at the Collegiate ESports Series event in Indy haha). I would love to be part of the writer team if I get accepted, these guys are awesome.

Are you looking exclusively for "journalism" style recaps and such? Or just SC2/e-sports in general ("How to convince your dad to watch e-sports with you")? Are all writings considered Serious Business?
