Alternatively, if the usage of the word is intentional in an effort to grab the attention of more readers, the "unpaid" nature of the position could be specified in the first paragraphe. This way you still get the thread views and you avoid most of the confusion. Note: I will not read this thread any further to avoid getting baited into a pointless argument. | ||

Also people think of connotative meanings of hire they inferred compensation although in general any way of wording it infers that you get something, be it if you used position, openings et al. | ||
