These commandments are simply a codification of the unspoken and informal rules with which we have been using to run this site. Nothing has changed. We would have liked to have kept things at an informal level, but there are simply too many new users for us to handle each and everytime someone new gets out of line. And if someone new does get out of line, it's easy to say "well, that guy was an idiot." But, we thought some responsibility lay with us also for not posting the rules for people to see so they would know how to govern themselves accordingly. Keane_Reaver, you have been with us a long time. You are considered one of the forum veterans. You have been saying the things you've wanted to say all this time. You are still not banned. That should tell you all you need to know about the nature of the Commandments. Relax man. [EDIT: Fuk. I should have read through the entire thread first. I can't think of a single ban Rekrul has made that I disagreed with. Most of them were dumb, annoying pieces of shit, who, no matter how wrong they were, still spouted the same stupid shit off all the time. This is the only forum, aside from Megadeth's forum, that I actually go to. And I don't go to the other very regularly at all, only when I want an update on the band. The reason is that the people here are generally much smarter, and more manner than the dumb-ass twelve year olds of every other forum. The reason the site was able to keep the more intelligent people, in my view, is that they don't allow the dumb shits to stay here very long. | ||
