i was there tonight it was fun and all but i do have suggestion if you will.. please don't take offense or anything i realize all the effort put in and appreciate it.
all 1v1 show matches on the big screen were all mirrors, 1 TvT and 2x Bo3 PvPs. Personally i would have preferred any other type of match up regardless of the players skill.
Eg have one of the pros just play random ladder matches, or a KOTH type thing where winner stays on etc.

Definitely willing to come back for GSL Season 3, and willing to donate 10$ again to do so. Atmosphere was absolutely astounding. Hopefully we can get more people to come and start working towards getting bigger and better things for this event.

Yeah great success.
28 total Km cycled to and from the event.
I'd do it for next season

SUGGY (a zerg Edit: apparently suggy is a protoss as to say my plan was doomed from the start) was sort of supposed to play the winner of antimage vs slained and the big match was supposed to be Nony vs painuser. Things didn't go according to plan but I completely agree and was trying to avoid mirror match ups. I don't blame anyone, things were just too last minute. Definitely will make the schedule a lot more clear in any future event.

I was there and it was totally sick. I have gotten like, 4 hours of sleep yesterday and since 7PM yesterday, I have not gotten any sleep. On that note, I gotta get ready to attend the Turbo LAN SC2 tourney in an hour, so, I'll upload the photos and such later.

Chromate, please please please do this again for S3 I would probably double the recommended $10.
We should all thank chromate veryveryvery much for doing this for us. Put in a lot of work for less than $10 of profit :D
Also, <3 Tastosis for the shoutout

That was great! Must do again.
|
goodjob chromate and company! i'll have a video on most of it soon. alot of it is pretty dark obviously, but i'll make it interesting
|
That was so much fun! Thank you so much for hosting that, chromate. Me and the 2 guys I drove got home safe, despite the fact that I slept 3 hours on Thursday night and have been awake since 8am Friday.
|
what "pros" were in attendance? I see that Nony was in a game, was he actually in attendance?
|
There weren't any pros really, Nony wasn't there, just played with SlaineD (who beat Antimage) over BNet for a showmatch. Talk about one sided.
Anyhow, thanks again for doing this Chromate, it was a great experience! Watching the last game wouldn't quite have been the same. And the 2v2 Funday Monday-style was a lot of fun, even if it did get terminated a bit abruptly. (We totally would have won.)

pvp =( and then another pvp

damn, just got home, god this is running on hour 29 straight awake but it was totally awesome, thank you so much chomate you are a tribute to the tl community and have just won 1million bawler points!!! Thanks to letting me rock the mic, I hope did a half decent job, commentary is f'n hard, mad props to those who pull it up and much new love and respect to tastosis!!! (ps thanks for the shoutout!! that was epic)
sorry for saying I'd be at the bar at 11 and being late! oh man... that was hilarious, middle of the bar, just wipe out my laptop, load up a sc2 replay and sc2 boys just starting introducing themselves, good times!!!
I can't say enough how much credit is due chromate!

Was an epic super baller night to be sure. The show matches were pretty entertaining. Venue was nice, everybody was really into it, and the staff at the theatre were surprisingly perky and accommodating (yay oatmeal). Much love to chromate for putting the whole thing together, and I'm looking forward to S3!!! Now to finally sleep!
Oh! And thanks for the carpool down!! TL community is awesome!

oh niiice. that means around 100 people? does this mean GSL Open 3 finals event is on?

Soooo Slardar ANDDDD Focuspants here... Event was amazing! It was a lot of fun getting to watch some live matches, and watching the GSL on that screen with all those people was waaaay better than sitting in a tired heap by our computers by ourselves.
Fun story about the trip home. After our glorious subway trip back to finch, there was a hole in the pavement, exactly the size of a car, infront of our car. Yes, 1 hole, 1 foot deep, infront of only our car. Of course it being morning, and the car being at the front of the lot, it was surrounded by other cars on all other sides. We hunted down a construction crew, and got them to fill the hole with gravel, which only took the better part of 2 hours, while we ate breakfast in some sketchy hole in the wall, surrounded by what seemed to be a party of homeless people.
We just got back, and are getting ready for the TL tournament. We will likely fall asleep in the middle of our matches, so gratz to whoever is bracketed against us <3
Even with this added stress and sleep deprivation, it was all more than worth it. Our fighting spirit will lead us to victory. P.S Get worked Boxer. I mean Foxer.
