Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion.
For regular posters, don't quote the trolls. |

So you're hanging out with douchebags who wants to force their sexuality onto you? Again, what has this got to do with them being gay. Gay people aren't exempt from being douchebags. No wonder you've never experienced a similar straight guy, because you're not a woman. But believe me (and the women of the world) - those straight guys exists.

If you actually read Mora’s post history, you’d find out that he is completely gay and is not attracted to women sexually. I don’t know why he decided to have sex with a girl and I don’t know how you jumped to it nullifying the "I'm born gay, it’s just how I'm wired" argument. All it means is that Mora is a slut.
You're saying that regardless of his ability to reproduce, he CHOOSES not to, and you don't get how I jump to nullifying "I'm just wired this way"?

Ahh.... it's always amusing to see how men react when they find themselves not in the position of the sexual aggressor. How threatened they feel.
By your uh, special, logic, I should have every right to hate *all* men because of a few catcalls last weekend. Or that motherfucker who wouldn't leave me alone at a club.
Women deal with this type of unwanted sexual advances ALL THE FREAKING TIME. Your one time experience with an older man hitting on you is a reality for many women on a regular basis.

Mora admits he only likes guys and is not attracted to girls. He is an extreme case in that he is gay and has had sex with a woman but you still use this as evidence to say that BEING gay is a choice. No, Mora having sex with women was a choice for him, but his attraction to men is probably innate.

Nothing is a big deal, nor is it wrong to choose not to procreate. As I said in my initial post, quoted by Masamune, What you do and who you do it with is fine.
I was attempting to say that the state of "gay", which from a certain perspective could be viewed as a 1-word label for "I choose not to have reproductively compatible sexual relations", would be the end of humanity if 100% of people chose it.
I will concede the point however in response to Masamune's retort about hypotheticals. He's right, this isn't the place for them.

not to derail a thread but... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oedipus_complex
I think Mora's OP was quite clear on it, but a lot of ppl expressed that there's no need for such a thread, that this is a sc forum and should strictly be focused around the game and the kind of person you are does not matter. Wrong, it is a community made up by real people. If it would all be just about playing the game there would be no need for TL (maybe only the strategy forum). We see threads about "Calgary Lans" or "UK meet-ups" and whatnot. It's that we all here share at least the one interest that is starcraft, but aside from being gamers we have other interests as well. So it's only natural that we look for others with whom we share more interests. So a gay thread is just as viable as a chess, football, etc discussion thread.
I would feel different if the gays would start some annoying martyrdom (even if justified, because through this thread I've learned that gays are exposed to a lot of cruelty in life, but people usually react quite negatively to martyrdom), but ironically the only martyrs in this thread are the ones, which feel offended by gay talk and still feel the urge to read and post here.
