In Game voice chat sucks pretty badly. Can only talk to people in party, mic volumes messed up, etc. Vent >>> IRC You can't really type while in game. Hearing someone's voice you get to know them better than typing. I'm all for using #TAMU to organize stuff or to hang out in while doing other things, but game analysis / practice games and such will benefit a lot from voice communication.
