First post here! Glad this thread isn't dead!
So, I'm pretty terrible at SC2 (Bronze League), and I don't play it too much, so at the moment I have no interest in joining the team competitively. However, I do play quite a bit of League of Legends, and I did follow the team's progress in the CSL, and given it is the summer time, I wouldn't mind getting back into SC2.
I was wondering if there was any interest in the formation of an eSports association at TAMU? We've got quite an active Facebook group about LoL, and TAMU also happens to have Scarra, who is a progamer in the LoL scene.
Either way, I think it would be pretty interesting to form an eSports group.
Oh, about LANs, I'm pretty interested. I've been to a few and have run my own small LANs too (8-12 people). email is mushrooshi at gmail dot com.

I think a few people are going to the austin tourney, but not too sure. And a few of us will be there during the summer, I for one will be doing 10 week summer classes (going back to cs in 2 weeks), we may even have a LAN if enough people are willing to drive down.

I'm going to be posting this on the tamusc boards as well, but I figured until I got my account approved this would be a good place to start:
Yesterday a friend and I went to Austin to watch the Red Bull Battlegrounds SCII tournament and we got to thinking how great it would be to have an event cast in College Station. I know that TAMU has a pretty active gaming scene and we've already talked with the manager at the Fox and Hound and he's okay with us having a Barcraft there. All we have to do is show that there would be people interesting in attending.
So who would be up for watching the MLG championships at the Fox?
