Lets be honest, they won't do that lol. They want all their games to have the same cute system of the top 16 seeds getting reinvited to perform against randoms, so that the top 16 can continue to do well so they get some marketability.

Or something like that.

Well they can keep inviting the top 16 back while running a qualifier for the online buy-ins. Unless you mean this is like...conspiracy-esque (read: kespa) and MLG is banking on walkovers to keep the same names around and build this pseudo-god-tier. Not sure what benefit that will bring since most of these players already have teams/sponsors. Besides, I'm not sure people will have much incentive to keep coming back to watch the same guys play over and over again. This shit ain't proleague.

I think they'll have to wait until next circuit to really make any changes to it. I believe that during Raleigh they didn't expect such a large interest, and didn't procure the right amount of hardware, support and space in the convention center. For the sake of seedings and whatnot, they can't change the format until next circuit/season/whatever because winning a 64-man tournament can't and shouldn't be worth the same amount of points as a 128-man or 256-man (even if that's only adding 1-2 rounds respectively for the winner.) Doing so would skew the rankings for someone like HuK if he were to lose in DC.

If you want my bet, they'll keep running it in its current format until next circuit, where they'll be sure to have plenty of space and hardware available to run something really big and really good. The inclusion of Starcraft 2 in to MLG was a sudden decision, and I imagine they stuck it in the deepest corner of the convention center (being as that no matches were played on the main stage.) Events are planned and space is purchased many many many many months in advance. Only events that they plan from now on will have the chance to be higher than 64 players, I bet.

I remember when that site came out, It was during the decline of prof CS, and when gotfrag was actually worth going to. Now both the sites have very little content or are worth while these days. Sorry =/

Man I just woke up from the strangest dream, somehow involving you guys (nohomo). I'm putting it in here while its still fresh in my mind because its kind of hilarious.

Storr and Rob were with me on some sc2 reality TV show as the final 3 but we lived with a few other people for some reason. We went with these people to a street fighter 4 LAN and decided we should leave. When we got home, rob decided to wash his feet in some locker outside, and therefore I determined the best course of action was to go inside and put a lot of lotion on my face. Apparently we were going to be inspected by the head of this reality show, who is the department chairman of my art school (and a really tough guy).

After he leaves I notice we have ants, but I'm somehow suffering some psychological illness because they are gigantic and scaring the ever living shit out of me. Storr is like "man there's barely any of them and they're so small" and we get in a big argument, where I threatened to leave because I was scared shitless. I send out a mass text message saying "sorry all, its like big scv except they are ants and they are scaring the shit out of me."

Somehow I accidentally texted an old professor who, in my dreams anyway, must have switched numbers because some guy texted back saying "yo hoo da fuk is this." Eventually a hot korean gardener lady comes and somehow fixes this infestation, and when she comes in, she steals a plate of the food that storr was cooking and walks out the door while we're all rolling our eyes.
