Check list to bring
1) If you can please bring a spare laptop (just in case we have streaming problems) Some wise people brought board games last time to play during the interim. My suggestion would be to bring starcraft the board game.
2) PLEASE BRING SPARE CHAIRS IF YOU HAVE THEM
3) If anyone has portable sound equipment (karaoke/megaphone with mic etc) for potential casting please bring it along.
Is this still going on? If so I can probably drive out. I am only in anaheim so it should only be like 1 hr 30 min or maybe 2 hours max (depends on LA traffic lol)

Driving back from San Diego and hitting up Pedro's Tacos in San Clemente is bliss too, I suggest everyone living north of SD to do it and get a carne asada burrito--change your life.
Somebody needs to host something like this in the bay area... I think I will try and see what I can do about it myself, doubt I would get a bunch of people to come though... theoretically I could get a few people at my house, but if it had a bigger turn out we could go elsewhere. (where is the problem. )

I am totally down for going, Never.enough here if anyone has bumped me on the ladder. I'll bring my Goban, we can bust out a few games of Go while we wait and I can teach some of you guys how to play. Probably bring a few friends of mine as well.

In regards to the food there, it should also be noted that they have bomb dessert pizza later on in the night. Seriously, if you are considering going and have any doubts, don't. It's an absolute blast and the food is great.

I'm new to TL, but I just starbucked with day9 this morning and he told me about this party. So assuming I can either get my beat up car fixed by then or find a ride from LA, I'm down for meeting my fellow SoCal nerds.

Usually since the finals are over pretty late most people split up and go find their arranged sleeping quarters. If people are looking for some pre-game/day-after activities I suggest setting those things up now, because they aren't going to happen on the fly. Most people in attendance live within 1~2 hours away and they go home, but it sounds like this time there are a lot of people travelling from outside that proximity so definitely start setting things up now!

I'm Kyle and I used to be a more active staff member than I am currently. I am nice because I love this community and the get-togethers are a blast. Diggity and I started these meetings several years back and they continue to grow and grow in number.
We've got three sofas and an abundance of floor space with extra pillows/blankets/alcohol/etc.

I could possibly as well; I'm currently staying at a hotel in Anaheim, pretty close to disneyland. Not really sure if that qualifies as "near downtown LA" but worst case scenario I would be willing to try and find you guys. However, the odds of me getting lost and never being heard from again are fairly high.

it depends when he leaves... I.E if he wants to get there at exactly 10;30 , you can leave at 8pm probably and not hit too much traffic and make it on time.
From Westwood -> SD with NO traffic , it's about 1.5 hours (and you run like 80 the whole way). Standard time is 2 hours, WITH traffic 2.5-3.5 is standard.

I was SOOOOOOO hoping Jaedong would win in the 3rd match after he denied the SCV scout of his Hydras. Even though I was rooting for Flash, I was at least hoping the series would go 3-1.

most likely it was a fun night and the fact i was cheering for flash just because he was the under dog of the group last night. also seeing the turn out was awsome and joe for keeping pizza's out so late for everyone who showed up after midnight
Awesome event, with a huge turnout. Big props to to the organizers of the live-cast. The manager and employees are champs for staying up so late to keep churning out the pizzas.
I'd like to say thanks to... semioldguy for letting me crash at his place and for taking me home. And organizing. Diggity for organizing, as well. And for getting engaged and married. Joe's Pizza for providing food and letting us use their facility way after hours. Day[9] for casting, of course. And everyone else who helped him get here and cast.
Shoutouts to Jeremy (Engineer) and Hali. Talking with you guys throughout the event was fun.
No pics for me, but I definitely had a lot of fun. Liked everyone's energy (though the games that were played weren't worthy of it). Overall, 10/10 would go again.
The party was amazing. Props to Diggity and Semi-old guy [sweet beard] planning it out, getting hte name tags and convincing Joe to hold the event.
The desert pizza was pretty tasty actually. ^_^ The commentary was great. The crowd was very entertaining and there were lots of chill folks (shoutout to Engineer) ( Though I swear the number of Flash fans grew as he kept on winning -.-). UCI v UCSD was surprisingly entertaining. Only peeved that I my picture with Day didn't get saved t.t.
Thanks Diggity for inviting / organizing this. Was fun to meet a lot of the community and drive to-and-fro with Day9 helping to pass the time in the car.
