I’ve had teammates ignore objectives at awkward times before, but these guys straight-up played as though rax and towers did not exist and were not important. There was a window around 35-50 minutes where I was way ahead, and I think I never left the enemy’s side of the river. Their whole team would chase me all over the map. My whole team would completely ignore them, and their towers. Like, this was systematic. At one point I had all of their cores and both supports fighting me 1v5 in their safelane for literally three minutes straight, with multiple buybacks and all their ulties constantly on me. I think I got about 8 kills in that sequence before they finally locked me down and killed me. Meanwhile, our creeps took one of their T3s unaided. For this whole time: Where was Chen? Farming our jungle for a 40 minute refresher (??) after naked aghs (!??). Never got mek. Where was Pudge? Farming our ancients for a 40 minute bloodstone (!!?) Where was Mirana? Afk in our base (!!!). Eventually abandoned. Where was Lion? “Pushing” the wave that was on our side of the river, so at least trying. This went on for another twenty freaking minutes before they they farmed enough orchids and lockdown that I couldn’t 1v5 them anymore, and they took our rax one by one. I should have bought BKB and manta instead of heart and bfly to better 1v5 into multiple orchids (DP dropped hers to take my divine at the end), but Slark's abyssal would have ended me either way. We still could have won if anyone except Lion and I had been anywhere near the towers under attack. I just… I… man. I don't know. Maybe ELO hell is real. | ||

Unfortunately, they were awful on heroes like DP and slark and jug, where so long as you can press R and a-click the enemy base you'll do ok if the game goes to 80 minutes. After the other team concludes that him and stackbuddy are what threw, he starts raging at everyone and demands to publicly 1v1 mid the spectre. I didn't think these people were real. Also blink is apparently a "fail item" on nyx. Any other item/build a high level player does once on stream is >New Meta but clearly I'm the retard | ||

you're down a rax the enemy has mirana, centaur and tidehunter they are 10k gold ahead you can only fight defensively with high ground your carry is bot WHAT DO YOU DO a) walk as 4 to try and ward the high ground of their base without detection while they're all up b) literally anything else | ||

Except they buy retarded items. Spec gets 20 min rads which is decent, but against a lion/morph/lycan/potm/pa. At first he got away with it because they kept using all their nukes on me instead of on our damage dealers. I tell the spec to get a bkb before they realise that they can actually win fights if they just kill the spec first instead of wasting everything on me. Nope, gets heart first. They do as predicted and start nuking him down fight after fight even with his heart because of chain disables. I say again, dude you need a bkb and after that mkb for the pa. The idiot knows better. Starts making ac. They promptly finish the game shortly after he completes it. The game before that, our tusk thought it would be a good idea to get a Dagon 5 vs 3 of the most tank heroes in Dota. We lost that game too. Only because people have know idea what items to get in what situations. Understanding item progression is hard... | ||

Let's go hit it" 7 minutes of running around trying not to get arrowed or invoker'd we finally get near mid and get tornado-chrono 5 man wiped. Game pretty much over from there. Next game I notice one of the names looks familiar. I was pink slot and got made captain by default. I'm usually not the drafter (as in never) so I make a jakiro-rubick-whoeveryouwant trilane with an offlane weaver and whatever mid guy (there's always a "mid guy") thinks will work best vs invoker. Mid guy wants luna and the guy from last game tells me he wants sven. Not of course, before reminding me to not "play like sh*t" because "you were awful last game" citing that we ended a lost game with my 2-7-7 to his 5-9-6. He takes sven and finishes 0-9-2. (1-10-2 if you count the last-second fountain dive) I know that there's a lot more to how the game was then a person's kda, but the irony killed me. Of all the people to trash-talk... | ||
