I have this ultra immature friend who is far weaker in terms of everything in dota except going mid, and it shows. In nearly every single game, he loses mid, or goes 0-7 with a carry, but manages to comeback thanks to support players. In the end, he got into an mmr bracket 600 points ahead of me. One of my pet peeves however, is when he suddenly feels that mmr means everything, and he has much higher 'priority' in any dota discussion because of his mmr. Personally I wish there was no ranked mm at all. Does nothing except make immature idiots have a source to compare E-peens. | ||

Initial question : I dont know for sure, but the xp+gold difference would suggest being mid gives you a chance of more game impact (negative or positive). Seeing all the trolls, feeders etcetc in mediocre mmr ranges, it could suggest that claiming mid as a serious and experienced player, seems the better option to me because you deny a possible worse player (feeder etc) to not fuck up the best gold+xp spot during the laningstage. So, yes i think your right, but the higher the mmr range the less this should be the case. | ||

Yesterday we played as a 4-stack and every time we asked the 5th guy to participate in a trilane he refused (mostly after picking a support) because apparently the wisdom of the pubs says that "trilanes are shit". Also: Playing OD feels a lot like cheating. How is this hero balanced?
