First game: Allied Pudge calls safelane, missed every hook. Lost GG Second game: Allied Pudge calls mid lane, feeds Nighstalker. Lost GG Third game: I pick Lycan and call safelane, a ruski picks Alchemist and, without saying a single word, he comes to my lane and steals last hit. I couldn't go woods because I skilled howl first. Lost GG. Fun. | ||

So I guess according them, as a mid, I should have gotten wards, won my lane, ganked their lanes, upgrade courier, get the team support items like Mek or Drums and still do my job as a carry. Yup. | ||

Of course he's not. He starts tangos-null and runs to the mid t1 well before creeps spawn then acts confused when I tell him I make way more sense mid. It was just stupid from there. Awful individual play in every lane, solo offlane sniper dominates lion-jugg even when he's in tower range because our super sick ursa has no sense of map awareness or anything that isn't farming jungle creeps, nobody has TP's except me, I had to buy courier and flying, so I don't get blink before their team starts ganking me, and we get rocked because our jugg-ursa got no farm and mirana arrows aren't reliable initiation. So we lose every fight. They keep bitching that nobody calls the jungle Sand King missing and refuse to accept that he can jungle now, and think we got "counter picked" by huskar-sk-aa-sniper-jakiro. When I tell them it was trash picks and our only support not supporting, lion gets very mad at me saying it was stupid of me to assume he'd support. I bitched a few weeks ago about how MMR decay had me back in the trench, and while I was home with stable internet over break I've played 4-8 games a day to get back to the low-mid 3k area, and even my unranked games have been with people with some sense of coordination, smart laning and team compositions, and understanding of how heroes work, but this sudden throwback to MMR hell was terrifying. Ah well, going back to school Sunday, might as well start getting used to it  Edit: typed random draft instead of ability draft first time around, fixed it | ||

Mek on Razor/tanky carries doesn't stop them from carrying. The aura is really good, and it synergizes really well with Razor's passive. But I feel you on the wards and courier; it's 300 gold spent by heroes that don't benefit much from items and it lets your mid potentially help win all 3 lanes. I spend too much time on this thread. | ||

Well, I only have a little over 200 games of Dota so far but Mek is never a bad item to get on any hero I think? If my team would have spoken up and been like "hey we are having a hard lane and Mek will be really late, could you get it?". I might not have liked it or wanted to build that but I still would have sucked it up for my team if needed. They didn't do or say anything really. When I asked for wards multiple times, they just kept telling me to buy it if I wanted vision (while they were the ones complaining that I wasn't ganking lanes...because river was never warded). The logic of pubs is really something else. | ||

my LPQ games were actually BETTER than this fuck i am playing now. 5 carries into no courier or random aggressive trilanes with 10 death in 5 minutes or earthshakers who just casually walking onto a lane with timber and leeching xp there with a soul ring as starting item. i think i just get back into LPQ, games there seem to be better :| | ||
